It's been 12 (very) long years since 3G Capital (A Brazilian investment firm)...
...acquired @TimHortons and immediately took to betraying the communities they serve.
For those of you not in the know, 3G is a private equity firm and PE absolutely LOVES cheap labour.
The cheaper the better.
So they petitioned the government to import as many temporary foreign workers so they could get a hefty discount on labour.
Guess who pays the difference?
You do.
Quality has vanished from Tim Hortons...
...just as quality is vanishing from our communities nwo that they've swamped us with people from an incompatible culture.
So was it worth it, 3G Capital?

Tim Hortons is in the FO stage. They are backtracking on their use of the temporary foreign worker program and promises to not lobby the government anymore. Sorry, the damage is done. I continue to BOYCOTT TIM HORTONS.

Bill C-9, C-22 And C-8 Are All Interconnected: Why Aren't They Talking About This?
Bill C-9 criminalizes hate speech — it defines what you're allowed to say.
Bill C-22 forces telecoms to record everything you do online and save it for up to one year without a warrant.
Bill C-8 allows the government to cut you off the internet entirely if they consider you a threat to the network.
They would never know you're a threat without Bill C-22. They could never call you a threat without Bill C-9.
What will it take for Conservatives and Independent Media to start connecting the dots?

CBC, you should be ashamed.
While you endlessly lecture Canada about “truth and reconciliation” and residential school horrors, you conveniently forget your own history of promoting the very system you now condemn.
Mark Carney’s father, Robert J. Carney, was principal of the Joseph Burr Tyrrell Indian Day School in Fort Smith, NWT. In a 1965 CBC Radio interview, he defended residential schools and described some Indigenous children as “culturally retarded.”
Old CBC clips and propaganda that once pushed the narrative? Buried or memory-holed.
The speaker found this on Reddit and it hit hard: “I don’t think my grandparents actually knew what was really going on in those schools.”
CBC painted the trucker convoy as terrorists… yet stays silent when it’s their own legacy and the sitting Prime Minister’s family tied to the very history they weaponize.
This is why trust in CBC is in the toilet.
