English has a word for when you want to express something in a sincere but also subtle way, one which also pays homage to Charlie Kirk. No other language is even close.

Lots of people's social & romantic lives could be vastly improved if it was normal for young adults to live in college dorm-style accommodation in city centres until they were ready to set up home properly. Why doesn't this exist? I think there would be a market for it!

I wouldn't say far less, but less... it's the influence of the surrounding industries and cultures: Silicon Valley and Hollywood. Never lifted a weight or thrift shopped when I lived in Berkeley, started doing both in LA.

There might be something to this since SoCal Asian Americans are quite different from Bay Area and NYC Asian Americans. Japanese Americans and Korean Americans in LA are far less academically competitive than Bay Area or NYC/DC Asian Americans from my experience.

im trying to figure out if i should move to SF. so i kept asking friends if they liked living there and most answered a version of “it’s great if you care about technology, it’s bad if you want to find a partner”. weather and nature wise God blessed california. and it’s a cute town. everyone seems to be undergoing some version of AI Derangement Syndrome or alternatively has different degrees of investment in the same apocalyptic cult. which is kind of a fun way to spend your 20s tbh

I read the latest virally-bad “Asian Striver Girl with Immigrant Parents & a White Boyfriend” story so you don’t have to. I was hoping for maybe some mediocre soft porn, maybe some cheap and easy beauty, but it somehow gets even worse than the first paragraph.

local shows are cheap and often free the question is do you care about music and community or pop culture and celebrity worship
