Over the last decade or so, fans of football clubs with infamous far-Right ultra groups have been able to attend matches in England despite their history of hooliganism: Legia Warsaw, Sparta Prague, Dinamo Zagreb, Red Star Belgrade, Hajduk Split, Wisla Krakow, Lech Poznan.
PSG, Inter Milan and Roma all have far-Right ultra groups and a history of hooliganism (albeit within larger and therefore more politically diverse fan bases). They’ve never been barred like this.
This was obviously the British police saying that they could not keep people who may be suspected of being Israeli safe in Birmingham if this match went ahead. It should shame us as a country.
