Together with RDW, we have officially completed the final vehicle testing phase for Full Self-Driving (Supervised) and have submitted all documentation required for the UN R-171 approval + Article 39 exemptions. The RDW team is now reviewing the documentation and test results package internally. They have communicated the expected approval for Netherlands date of 4/10, shifting from 3/20 previously and we look forward to successful completion of this cooperation.  Following the Netherlands’ approval, European countries will be able to recognize this approval nationally. We are anticipating a possible EU-wide approval during the summer. Over the past 18 months, this approval has involved a series of intense documentation, development, testing, research & audits. Including but certainly not limited to: – 1,600,000+ km of FSD (Supervised) testing on EU roads – 13,000+ customer sales ride-alongs – 4,500+ track test scenario executions – Thousands of pages of written documentation for 400+ compliance requirements – Dozens of research studies into safety performance/results We're extremely proud of the work conducted with the RDW team up until this point. We very much look forward to the approval in April, and sharing FSD (Supervised) with our patient EU customers!

🚨Logic 101 on FSD Supervised in Europe: If RDW had already approved it, Tesla would be blasting OTA updates to owners NOW. Like in the US/Canada for years. Owners with FSD hardware could activate it today and drive supervised on their own roads. Instead? Still passenger only. Supervised ride-alongs with a safety driver always behind the wheel (you in the passenger seat or back). Bookings just opened in NL from Feb 16–31 March. Why MONTHS of chaperoned demos if the system is already legal and ready for public rollout? It makes zero sense. If approved, Tesla could offer test drives where YOU sit behind the wheel in your own/customer car. The fact they're sticking to safety driver demos screams: still in proof of concept/evidence gathering phase for RDW. Not 'approved and deploying'. RDW demos ongoing this month, ride-alongs kicking off next week across NL cities. Great for Dutch specific data (bikes, trams, narrow streets, rain), building hype, and showing regulators it handles local chaos safely. But the long window to end of March? That heavily suggests no quick supervised rollout in February. Community watchers mostly agree. Fast Feb green light unlikely now. More realistic is early March or end of March. If everything aligns, or Q2 if more tweaks/data/concessions needed. We're in the 'build the case' stage. Hype is massive, patience tested.
