The thing with Taylor is so many people are constantly lying about her, and creating false narratives that keep being repeated and over time people just start saying like it’s the truth that they become mainstream opinions. It has happened all through her career.

So someone posted a video of Taylor Swift merch claiming it resembled a N*z* symbol. Then apparently they posted a video saying they posted the initial video basically to create ragebait to pay the rent.
Now people are understandably angry at her. But hey, at least she admitted it. Half the internet these days is fuelled by AI and the other half swims in monetised rage bait.
Look at all the videos disparaging Amber Heard or Blake Lively. It’s about making money off the content. It’s not about genuine beliefs or ideas or motivations or the TRUTH, it’s about bank accounts. Misogyny pays. And given the size of Taylor’s fanbase, mocking her PAYS.
But at the end of the day it’s still women & women’s suffering being exploited for the capital gains of people they don’t even know.
At the end of the day misinformation that makes people angry has become valuable than the truth. That’s why these companies don’t take it down. That’s why we are where we are.

the worst thing to come out of leftist culture is the idea that if you’re not constantly researching and talking about injustices in the world you’re somehow complicit. the ppl i know who fell into this culture literally can’t post family vacation photos on ig without adding “i can’t believe we get to go to the beach while there are starving children in gaza.”
zero starving children have been saved this way, but many well-meaning wokes have developed extremely neurotic fixations that absolutely tank their mental health bc of this culture.

IMO ppl r unhealthily obsessed with “the state of the world.” This scale of focus makes sense if you are, eg, a billionaire philanthropist, famous person, or policymaker. If you’re not, I think it’s ok to just focus on the state of YOUR world. How are your friends & fam doing?

Here's my thing with variants.
If someone strategically releases a staggering number of variants and alternate versions ... they clearly care about charts and commercial performance. You can't convince me otherwise.
But if they're able to successfully SELL so many different versions ... they're clearly organically resonant. You can't convince me otherwise.
