@JustineBateman I can use prayers. Had skin cancer removed from my face, and I’m healing from the reconstruction.

Radical activists claimed the Alamo is an Islamic building. Now they’re lobbying Texas to insert fake Islamic history into our kids’ classrooms. I just sent a letter demanding the SBOE reject this revisionist garbage. Texas history is not up for rewriting. dailywire.com/news/one-of-am…

I’m grateful for these stories because they’re a reminder that we are at war with these people. And we always will be. And it doesn’t really matter if you see it that way. THEY see it that way. The LBTQ demon mob is at war with you.

@ctlyle1 Thank you for speaking up. My husband is one who doesn’t ‘look’ disabled. He had a lot of exposure to fuel (he worked bulk fuel), and he also served at a time when they didn’t provide sufficient ear protection at the range. Both of those things caused life long damage.

The veteran community has got to stop tearing each other apart. Oh you were a reservist but not active? Not veteran enough. Oh you were active but didn’t deploy? I did so you aren’t veteran enough. Oh you deployed but didn’t see combat? Not veteran enough. Oh you saw combat but didn’t receive a Purple Heart or commendation? Not veteran enough. Oh you were decorated but not special operations? Yes, we all know there is difference between a lifelong special operations veteran with 8 combat deployments vs. someone who held a support role for 4 years and didn’t deploy. And we should rightfully hold reverence for those who did the hardest things and acquitted themselves with honor. But that reverence shouldn’t be weaponized to diminish the value of those who raised their right hand, in a time of war, when less than 1% do it on an annual basis in an all-volunteer force. The argument shouldn’t be those who served minimal time and didn’t see combat don’t have a right to resources from VA. The argument is how to make sure those who deserve it, get it. And believe me, there are plenty of people in DC, including at @DeptVetAffairs, who have dedicated their lives trying to make that happen. Sure, fraud exists. But for all the stories we see online about legitimate cases, @VetAffairsOIG data indicates it is not, in fact, rampant. And it leaves out historical context of VA being historically very slow to award benefits to generations of veterans until they’re old or already dead. Trying to claim fraud is run amok at VA serves to disincentivize those who need help from getting it, for fear they’re somehow taking resources away from veterans who need it more. It doesn’t. Ironically, these claims usually come from people who - despite being young and healthy for the last 20 years - never raised their right hand. Which is clear not because their claim is disrespectful (though it is), but because it’s lazy and not based on an understanding of the system itself. Any veteran will tell you, based on direct experience or through a person they served with, the VA healthcare and benefits system is a complex leviathan and difficult to navigate, which is why accredited representatives through orgs like @AmericanLegion exist. I wish it were easier, and it’s literally my full-time job trying to make it so. But it’s not. I run a team of 20+ accredited people representing veterans in initial claims, appeals, debt collection, pensions, etc. I just had a veteran’s claim finally granted after 12 years…12 YEARS…of fighting VA. He was in medical debt after paying for surgeries out of pocket because his condition hadn’t been determined service-connected. His backpay took care of most of it. And while this was an extreme case, it’s sadly not uncommon for claims and appeals to take years. So if you’re somehow operating under the illusion this is a slush fund of $ for a bunch of fraudsters gaming the system, especially if you have no experience with it, you should exercise your right to shut the hell up.

Just so we’re clear: when Israel takes out Hezbollah terrorists and their brother then tries to massacre a synagogue full of Jewish kids in Michigan in retaliation, there are commentators on both the left and the right who rush in—not to condemn it—but to contextualize it.

It is my opinion that voters deserve better than a man who, if reelected, will be eighty if he finishes his Senate term or an adulterer. Cornyn's age should be an issue. Two bad options, I know, & yes, I KNOW, the Democrat is also a deplorable person.

Ok this made some people mad. They're mad I'm not supporting all women as they think I claim to. That I'm being mean to Demi Moore. Let me explain: 1. I'm mocking the media for ignoring an obvious eating disorder, thus normalizing it. After years of 'body positivity' we're seemingly back to an era of ozempic fueled anorexia as the ideal. Not good. She's not unrecognizable here because of a hair cut. It's because of her 12 year old's frame. She's never looked like this. I do hope she isn't ill. But I suspect the O. 2. I don't support all women and never claimed to. I don't support women who want to allow men into women's sports, for instance. I think Megan Rapinoe is doing harm to women's sports, which she benefited from. I will criticize her all day long. And I don't support women who put unhealthy ideals for women into the world while claiming to be champions for aging gracefully. They're lying. 3. Demi Moore positioned herself during the promotional tour for The Substance (which I hated) as a thoughtful commentator on aging gracefully in Hollywood, discussing in interviews the film's exploration of societal pressures on women to remain youthful, the internalized self-hate that comes with it, and the importance of self-acceptance and finding happiness within rather than chasing unattainable ideals. She spoke about resisting toxic beauty standards, embracing flaws, and moving away from hyper-focusing on perceived imperfections, presenting herself as someone who has learned to accept the natural progression of age. This is bullshit and she couldn't be a worse messenger for this message. Her PR story rings hollow when viewed against her own heavily altered appearance, marked by extensive plastic surgery, fillers, Botox and other interventions that have left her face looking frozen, overfilled, and unnaturally smooth —far from the authenticity she claims to champion. And now, her strikingly thin frame seems to chase an anorexic idea ala the 1980s that I thought we were rid of. She is the literal embodiment of the type of person The Substance critiques, not the type that is pushing back on it, as she claims to be. She has fallen prey to all of the pressures so to hold herself up as the antidote to Hollywood's pressures on women who age is the ultimate hypocrisy. She is desperately altering her appearance, chasing unattainable youth, while preaching dignity in aging. It's harmful to women, and the press is on the lie. No I don't have to support this, just because she's a woman.
Jennifer Sey@JenniferSey

Right, it’s the haircut not the anorexia (possibly Ozempic induced) that makes her “unrecognizable.” 🙄
