I don’t agree with death penalty anywhere, because of miscarriages of justice. & I certainly don’t think due process here was high enough.
But fact this man was charged with killing 2 police officers, with sword & knife, should at least be mentioned. Otherwise disinformation.

Just to be clear AGAIN yes journalists myself among them were at the Iran National Day event at the Iranian Embassy including ITV, CNN et al as they are every year. To commit journalism. I’m now in Tehran doing the same.

Kharg Island is one of the most heavily protected strategic sites in Iran because it is the backbone of the country’s oil exports. If the United States were to attempt a landing there, American forces would face immediate and intense retaliation. Tehran would not hesitate to strike around the island, even if that meant damaging its own oil depots and pipelines.
In an existantial war, denying the enemy control matters more than preserving infrastructure. If Kharg is threatened, Iran’s message is simple: if its oil cannot flow, no one’s oil in the region will.
