Liam Manning is a local lad, who we were all excited about that clearly didn't work.
His child did die 8 months before he joined us which is clearly going to have a massive impact on anyone and their performance at work.

@savegrassroots The increase in participation (female, disability, walking football etc) has come far quicker than the increase in facilities. Meaning the facilities we do have are getting hammered & booked. 10-2pm kick off rules mean 3 games max on 3G. We simply don’t have enough pitches

My unqualified, personal observations are that the ⚖️ have tipped too far the other way.
The mental fundamentals of a successful athlete have stood the test of time for a reason and should always matter most.

@Gordo5211 @DHucks6 It’s not used instead of scouting it’s used to support scouting and identity targets that maybe undervalued or missed. The better your data is, the easier to find targets to scout. In the book, which I highly recommend he explains you need good scouting, a good manager to support

@Gordo5211 @DHucks6 And in the book “how to win the premier league” by Ian Graham, they explain how Klopp initially wanted Julian Brandt while the data said they should sign Mo Salah. Klopp listened, rest is history. Also points to Brighton & Brentford’s proprietary data as keys to their success

@mattjohnson333 @CGoreham @dan_brigham I still don't understand why he didn't tweak the 3-4-2-1 to a 3-4-1-2 and play Schwarau (a 10) as a 10 and Makama (a 9) as a 9 alongside Sarge🤯
It's a very minor tweak that allows players to play in favoured positions

After the game occasionally manning would say we wanted to do x y and z but overall I simply don’t know how to even constructively describe what he was attempting which is a shame. For me he was asking players to fit him rather than him fitting the players strengths

Knapper went leftfield in JHT. Failed. He changed direction and went for the solid, Championship coach in Manning. Failed. Where does someone with no clear plan go next? My bet is he chooses the ‘glamour’ ex-player option. He’s going to go for Steven Gerrard isn’t he.

Other than slow passes across from wing back to wing back, I still have no idea how we were trying to attack.

@CGoreham @dan_brigham @danoverreal I look back at the NAC friendly. First half we were creating a few chances. Then switched at HT to wing backs and basically saw what we were about the endure for a few months. I know Manning will know but we as fans still don’t really know what his plan was. It changed so much.

@danoverreal @CGoreham Other than Stacey I’m not sure any of our other full-backs are best suited to the wing-back role. So it would be slightly dubious squad building if that was the case (and Stacey’s end product probably not good enough anyway)

@CGoreham @dan_brigham Be interesting to know whether the squad was "built" to play 3-4-2-1? Manning obviously persisted with that shape putting players in positions they didn't look comfortable and Knapper continued to back him. If so, will the next coach be an advocate of that? I

@alex_bailey92 From memory we were relegated after the change and then not promoted and then continued decline to currently in the relegation spaces. So how was it a correct decision? What were the achieved benefits of doing it to the club?

Still find this is a poor take. At the time, sacking Farke was the correct decision. His style wasn’t suited to keeping that Norwich side in the prem, which was the goal. Unfortunately, every decision since Farke has been the wrong one. #NCFC

That's £1620 in entry fees + £3600 (if the maximum fines are issued) so £5220 paid by grassroots clubs to NOT PLAY FOOTBALL

34 walkovers in just the 3 mixed youth county cups in the 1st 2 rounds🤯 That’s £1530 paid to enter a tournament & NOT play football yet disrupt the whole calendar for all involved In John Savage, 41% of the 2nd draw was a walkover🤯
