I think most Mushoku Tensei fans are able to accept that Rudeus is hardly a morally upstanding role model at all, I think it's the part where you then imply that the author of the story and anybody who even slightly enjoys the story wants to literally rape kids they disagree with

My first thought was that this thing Imu was doing reminds me of the Germa anime filler scene because it's also a spear (also because I said Imu's design reminds me of a "Garuda").
It's a fairly typical spear attack move, though, so this doesn't have to mean anything.

Imu's wavy spear/staff also resembles Zhang Fei's "serpent spear" from Three Kingdoms.
Kind of an interesting concept, because Garuda and Serpents/Naga are enemies.
The eyes, as I mentioned before, remind me of Doumeki, though not sure if that means anything.
