A quick reminder of the fact pattern that resulted in Trump being fined a half a billion dollars…
1) he gives a value for his property as collateral for a loan.
2) the bank considering the loan (deutche I think) sends out their assessors and and fact checkers to appraise the property. They agree with Trump.
3) Trump borrows the money…Trump pays it back ahead of schedule..something the bank probably didn’t want because they don’t like prepayment..they like loans…
4) years later an AG that ran on “getting Trump” entirely changes protocol to allow her to look back at the transaction….they build an incoherent and idiotic case littered with anti Trump actors…they win….did I miss anything?

I always liked Ron DeSantis from the early days because he was the only Republican, other than Devin Nunes, who was willing to say how corrupt and fabricated all the Russiagate stuff was. So it’s nice to see him fully lean into his inner Trump. It feels like he needed to take that drubbing in the primaries to become more relaxed.

@JTLegionaire @HansMahncke I'm open to being proved wrong. I had a similar view of Rubio before he was SoS, and I've softened a bit on him with his stellar performance in Trump's admin.
Give me 8 years of Vance/Rubio, then 8 years of Rubio/DeSantis, then we can talk about DeSantis being POTUS.
