@joshpuckett The checkout flow was a great reminder of what drew me to design in the first place. Thanks, Josh!

As software gets easier to make, the products that stand out will be the ones crafted with uncommon care.
If that's the kind of work you want to do, I'm sharing everything I know:

@pie6k The features were animated in Screen Studio as you probably can tell. For the intro and outro i tried to mimic it‘s style in AE tho.
Love your tool

@lucasnantonio 99% sure that was recorded in @screenstudio + plus some other video editor to add music.

What's the current best way to create shiny product video demos like this? With nice background, zoom, mouse pointer recording, etc?
Do people use a screen recording tool I don't know about, or fake-animate in After Effects?

@Gavmn @merlindru @XeZrunner @bengold I know they used Quartz Composer heavily in the earlier days to prototype things. I wonder if they got a beefed up version still in use internally (similar to what FB did with Origami)
Also a lot of the physic based stuff would be a nightmare animate in AE.
English

@merlindru @XeZrunner @bengold doesn’t really make sense to me why they would do that vs using graphics/video software but I suppose it’s possible

The new Apple SF Symbols Beta features animations now.
Buckle up... User interfaces are about to become a lot more dynamic and expressive:

@rijkioo I‘ve looked into this at some point for a project and i needed to render the video out avoiding interpolation (only i-frames) to ensure smooth playback in any direction . So file size might be bigger than expected.

"One of our team members broke all the rules and it was dope..."
Big tech got so obsessed with rigid design guidelines over the years that we went full circle and have to create videos to remind designers that design is in fact, about creativity:

@jurrehoutkamp I used @elevenlabs. It needed a bit of tweaking of the punctuation and settings to get the tone I wanted. Despite the controls, the results seem still random to a certain degree.
Give it a try... it's quite fascinating to play around with the controls actually.

@dasTom Awesome Tom, which AI voice-over did you use? There are so many out there but this once sounds great!
English

Over the years, I've created dozens of product videos. Typically, I start with a computer-generated voice-over before recording a professional version.
But with this latest video, the #AI-generated audio was so impressive that I didn't feel the need to use a human voice-over:

@AisleOne I used @elevenlabs and it needed a bit of tweaking to get the tone I wanted. But I think as the tool develops this will def. improve. Especially given that the current results are already quite impressive.
