When agents searched his phone and computer, they reported finding hundreds of images that meet the federal definition of child pornography. Some folders were named "PTHC" (preteen hardcore) and "incest and abuse." Investigators say cached files included images of infants and toddlers being abused by adults. When confronted, Al-Saidi told agents he used BitTorrent to "download movies." He was charged with receiving, distributing, and possessing child pornography. Then, days later, a judge released him on a $10,000 unsecured bond, meaning no money was required up front. He's on a GPS tether, banned from the internet, and not allowed near places where children gather. For many people, the gap between the scale of the alleged files and the size of the bond is the part that won't sit right.
