@mariomosboeck @CoinPoker_OFF couple ideas Make PLO preflop not including the ante. Pretty sure the old software was like this Make the HUD have the option to only count the current stake. (I know some players are playing everyhand at the smallest stake and inflating their stats) This one probably wont happen but 4max ante at lower stakes. This was my favorite format before

🚨 Rake vs Pot size @ full ring cash. ACR I pulled this data from my personal database. Criteria was max pot size won at each stake vs rake paid for that pot. Planning to add other sites (coin, wptgold, betrivers) in future posts so we can compare all options. Impressive tbh. #TheMoreYouKnow @WPN_CEO @ACR_POKER

@dashmsaenz @CoinPoker_OFF One thing to keep in mind, a 100% increase in rake cap, doesnt translate to the same % increase in rake. Two seperate mechanics - so on this topic, No the rake did not double. Depending on the game, prior rake etc, that is a 20-30% effective gross increase

Dear Community, Thank you again for your feedback over the past 24 hours. We truely hear you. Yesterday, we introduced new rake caps on the new client. We anticipated that adjusting rake at launch would create negative sentiment. However, we made the deliberate decision to implement the change on day one rather than later in the month, as we believe transparency from the start is the right approach. What is on us is that we did not provide enough context around the reasoning and the bigger picture. We would like to clarify that now: • CoinPoker has always been, and will remain, a player-first poker site. This is one of our core company principles & we hope we're able to demonstrate that with our historic actions. • In the coming weeks, we will announce our new rewards model, designed to return a large amount of generated rake back to players while implementing a fair and competitive low effective rake structure. • Our goal is to always aim to have the lowest effective rake in the market. We believe that the poker dream has to stay alive and games always need to be winnable long term. We will hold ourselves to these standards. Our clear objective is to provide the best overall product experience, uphold the highest possible security standards, and remain player-first by maintaining the most competitive effective rake possible. We fully understand that one of the biggest concerns in any poker community is the feeling that operators do not listen. Decisions in this area directly impact players’ livelihoods, and for many of you this is personal. We are very aware of that responsibility and do not take it lightly. The line of communication between players and the site will always remain a top priority. Maintaining that trust matters deeply to us. We would also like to emphasize accountability. We work closely with our partners and ambassadors and highly value their input and experience. Many of them have shared similar feedback internally. Ultimately, however, all final decisions are made by CoinPoker. If we misstep, that responsibility sits entirely with us, not with any of our ambassadors. We share a common belief with our partners in building the most trusted poker site in the industry, but technical and operational decisions remain solely our responsibility. Please hold CoinPoker directly accountable for them. We sincerely appreciate all of your feedback and the intensity of the discussion. These feedback loops are incredibly valuable in helping us refine decisions and stay closely aligned with community sentiment. That alignment is of utmost importance to us. Thank you again for your trust and continued support. The CoinPoker Team.

@padspoker @CoinPoker_OFF The rakeback was 33% at $2.5 cap for .5/1. It would have to be 66% at the new $5 cap to be just atleast as good as it was before

re @CoinPoker_OFF new rake. I agree if you increase the rake it’s not a good look, but the thing people don’t see yet is the new rewards system. EFFECTIVE rake (rake minus rakeback) is only thing to consider. As an ambassador I won’t support unbeatable effective rake I promise

This is pretty disappointing. I plan on playing 200NL where the rake is a little more reasonable. Is it so much to ask to have one site that doesn’t gouge its player base with rake? It’s getting to the point where there are no good options.
gabriel@gabe___irl

Hey @CoinPoker_OFF @padspoker @bencb789 it's pretty disappointing to see the rake cap effectively DOUBLED at low/mid stakes cash games. Rake free promotion for March is nice, but it's short sighted if the rake effectively doubles at the end of it. New rake at 50NL is 5% with 8bb cap, 100NL is 5% 5bb cap, previously was 50NL 4bb cap and 100NL 2.5bb cap.

@padspoker They doubled the rake and you cant see the rake in the replayer or anywhere on the site. Pretty embarrassing

I missed 3 things -Make different tables different colours - make fonts 2-3x the size - make player notes thick and bold
Patrick Leonard 🫡@padspoker

Things that would seem "big" to me. - The replayer fully revamped (#1 for me by far!) - The bet slider allowing proper sizes (min bet not double last bet) - Card Sorting in PLO - Rakeback system / CHP - The company logo - Tournaments in the lobby dont disappear on breaks - See how long left late reg in lobby view - Staking in the client for MTTs - 0% tolerance for any stable/group who use MDA of other players and/or ghost - 2 day / multi day tournaments - New mobile easy to use - Live tournament collab with pokergo - pokergo online events - No more HUDs allowed

We're now live with our upgraded software and new games including PLO6 and 100% rakeback from March 2-15 followed by all rake being returned to players through VIP rewards and leaderboards until March 31. CoinPoker just leveled up, will you?

During this initial launch phase we have adjusted our rake structure, to gather real-time data and feedback ahead of a new rewards structure to be announced in April. The 100% rakeback promotion ensures there's no impact on players in March. coinpoker.com/rake/

@tombos21 What about in the absolute worst rake environments? There has to be a point/structure where playing deeper is better

Many cash game players think short-stacking is unprofitable. But I think this is selection bias. There are two kinds of short stacks at a cash game table: 1) Amateurs who can't afford to play 100bb. 2) Players who have studied and honed a short-stack strategy. Since most observable shorts are scared-money amateurs rather than solver sickos, you end up with the illusion that short = bad, even though it's theoretically backwards. x.com/tombos21/statu…

@dashmsaenz @Protentialmn I'm not convinced in my initial reading, but your odds of being audited are slim and you could make a good faith argument based on that case law and the articles written on it by Bryan Camp that it was an acceptable practice, given you had good documentation.

You can total your wins/losses over the course of a year for a location, then use that number. Lets say. Wynn: 300k buy-ins, 250k cashes = -50k Venet: 400k buy-ins, 500k cashes = +100k For 2026 your wynn losses of 50k only acts as -45k. Really small change from 2025.
