As a domain investor, I frequently get questions about outbound sales. I rarely do outbound. I tend to prefer passive, inbound sales for the following reasons:

Hi Ryan, This kind of caught me off-guard, so just to clarify - 1.) I never "slammed" you publicly. I reported on my experience with Digital Junkyard. @digijunkyard 2.) I never even mentioned you in my post. I had no interaction with you whatsoever. 3.) I was a bit puzzled when you jumped in and appeared so combative, instead of just explaining the situation in more detail to begin with. 4.) Angus from Digital Junkyard reached out to me proactively, after the fact, and explained the situation in more detail regarding an inventory issue. 5.) He made what I consider a fair resolution and was pleasant to deal with. That was on Wednesday, July 1st. 6.) I asked Angus about the post, because I wanted to update it with what happened. 7.) I was told to "do whatever you feel is best." 8.) I had a scheduled quote-tweet planned for Monday AM, that was going to update the situation. I didn't think around July 4th holiday weekend was a great time for it.

@DomainGang It reminds me of my investment strategy. If I can't tell what a company actually does, in a paragraph, I am not investing. Something like this...What do you actually do? 🤣

If your .ai startup's own description can't be deciphered without the use of an LLM, I'm gonna have to triple my asking price for the matching .com. 😐

I feel like gaslight mode is the default on many of these AI tools. Just being confidently wrong. I asked @claudeai about a domain and it kept saying how good of an acronym it was, when it wasn't. I asked it to explain why it was, and the response starts with - 😀

I have nothing against handregging domains, but let's be realistic. There are over 170 million .com domains already registered. When that much inventory is off the table, finding good handregs is not easy. Most domains are available for a reason.

NotRenewing.com is up to 333 total sales now. That is 180+ sales so far in June. There were around 150 sales in the first 2 1/2 months. It is still gaining traction. @Not_Renewing I have bought several domains. All transactions went smoothly.

NotRenewing.com is starting to gain some traction now after being launched in mid March. The sales are increasing month over month. March - 9 April - 37 May - 106 36 sales in the last week. There are always multiple sales daily in the "Recently sold" section.

@manicmillion @digijunkyard They sure seem "available" to me. I can go and buy them on Afternic right now, for a higher price. Or, I can make an offer on the "Domain Manage" lander itself. It's more like they are not "available", *for the price you paid*.

My first experience with DigitalJunkyard.com @digijunkyard was a negative one. Paid for (3) domains via Paypal. They were later refunded with no explanation. ➡️ The lander is "Domain Manage". ➡️ Paypal went to "Domain Manage". "Unavailable", or just not honoring the price?

@manicmillion @digijunkyard I bought (3) domains on your venue, and you can't deliver them. That tells me all I need. Bottom line, you were not able to deliver the domains I paid for and provided no good explanation for it.

@manicmillion @digijunkyard It's interesting that the (3) I ordered are suddenly "unavailable", but many of the others in the DC003 portfolio use the exact same "Domain Manage" landers. So, are all those "unavailable" as well? Or, just the few I ordered? I am not really buying the "availability" issue.

If you get an email from a @GoDaddy broker without an offer amount, the offer sucks. When the offer is good, they lead with the number. When it's not...suddenly it's like pulling teeth just to find out what it is.

If this is where we're heading with automated domain name appraisals, then I'm a bit disappointed. Bad appraisal value > pay to hide

@DomainNameWire @Not_Renewing @adamstrong It's probably tough to figure out the STR because - 1.) There are 7,100 currently listed domains, but many expire and roll off. 2.) The venue has only been around for a few months. So, you basically have an unknown amount of domains over a limited period of time.
