@1CantBeNamed @Thorin After this series, proves that series was a fluke and nothing more. 2 BO5 wins against T1 in 8 years. T1 won 3 world championships in that time.

🤔👇 Now THIS is a very weird decision Zverev vs Fery will be the FIRST SF on Friday, 1:30pm start Djokovic vs Sinner will follow This is despite Jannik and Novak having around 18-24 hours more rest 🤔 Banking on TV viewership? #Wimbledon

@_joshuaperry @ItzzZain10 A tester is never "late". They can test whenever they want, even outside the time window the player gives, provided they find them. If they do, you can never refuse a test

@davDarki @ItzzZain10 She refused bec the tester was late. She still had the test few days after and it's negative. 4 years is outrageous when some other players who really tested positive even if the excuse of contamination gets only 3 months.

A player fails two separate drug tests after an unexpected increase in performance level = 3 month ban. A player, consistently injured, misses a drug test = 4 year ban. Tennis is setting a dangerous precedent.
International Tennis Integrity Agency@itia_tennis

An independent tribunal has suspended Czech tennis player Markéta Vondroušová for four years under the Tennis Anti-Doping Programme. The tribunal determined that the player provided "no compelling justification" for refusing a test in December 2025. 🔗 itia.tennis/news/sanctions…

@jon_wertheim Why do they even ask the player to give the 1-hour testing window if they can be tested at any time? Utterly pointless and contradictory

No way this survives the (inevitable) appeal….there had to be *some* penalty here. But when actual positive tests get a fraction of the penalty of a test refusal, justice has foot-faulted …

@TunedIntoTennis When you test positive you're able to explain yourself and get that 4 years reduced or even nullified. If you refuse you just subject yourself to the maximum penalty without explanations

@MariaB79444595 @pavyg 4 years are automatic for a positive test, they only get reduced if you offer ITIA explanations after testing positive. But if you refuse in the first place you can't give any explanations, that's it.

@pavyg Sinner and Światek didnt avoid testing. Missed test is equal to doping. But 4 years are crazy. She is not the first player that receive punishment for avoiding tests. I just wonder why she is not gathering stringer evidence like hair tests etc. Why she was not ready that day?

3 Grand Slam champs and Top 10 players in Tennis all in their 20s have all been charged with doping offences in the last 18 months. Jannik Sinner aged 24. Iga Swiatek aged 24. Marketa Voundrousova aged 26. Voundrousova gets a 4 year ban but Sinner and Swiatek next to nothing.

@Neno___None @marramirem5 @jmgmoron Maia has been suspended by ITIA and not WADA plus the degree of negligence can vary. She injected stuff on her own willingly, she didn't get contaminated by a third party. Completely different cases.
