Now Peter Murrell pled guilty, I can tell you without contempt of court Alex Salmond told me this:
when Murrell ran Alex' office in NE Scotland 20+ years ago, Murrell stole a sum from party funds.
Alex replaced it with his own money and protected Murrell who had problems.
I told Alex his kindness was admirable and covering for Murrell I understood, but continuing to employ him was nuts.
I do not doubt Alex was telling me the truth but obviously I can offer no proof.
If memory serves it was £500 - a substantial sum at the time.

Nicola Sturgeon passed her driving test aged 53. Her schedule and work life had stood in the way of her doing something as normal as learning to drive. Is it really THAT unimaginable that her and her husband had become so distant and estranged that they didn’t “socialise” or go on holiday? If you ask me, this is a tragic state of affairs.
The party money was stolen. Not tax payer public funds. Party money. SNP members are the victim of this fraud, but at the heart of the story is a woman who was possibly living in a challenging, and potentially dysfunctional marriage, who was betrayed.

@AllisonPearson The two of them must be locked up. It is absolutely inconceivable that a sudden huge escalation in domestic spending would have went unnoticed by Sturgeon. Surely police must seize devices of both to identify exactly how this happened.

Follow the logic. Women are deluded and naive for thinking predatory and violent men can be kept out of women-only spaces. ‘They can rape you anywhere.’ However, trans-identified men can only be safe in women-only spaces, because no abuser would ever follow them in there.
