@BeeMaya9534 @faniaoz Stop projecting. You have no idea how many Israelis I know or how I relate to them or feel about them. I don't feel sorry for you, a human, a civillian under attack, because it doesnt even cross your mind to consider the human civillians under attack by your army.

@daveburn @faniaoz Oh, such a clever dig - you Israelis are so evil, you dehumanize others! You don't think Israelis are human. You deny them reasonable human emotions and reactions, and expect them to behave in a standard no other human is expected to comply with. But yeah, you're a "humanist".

Non-Israeli friends are asking me why we’re not all out on the streets demonstrating against Jewish settler terror in the West Bank. Their well-meant ignorance clearly shows that the international media is not reporting about our daily and nightly routine of missile attacks, sheltering at home, all schools shut, emergency law prohibiting assemblies. We are following the West Bank atrocities with anger and pain. And we still have the liberty to sign petitions.

@KeithMillsD7 Trams are not big enough and too slow to service routes like Middleton- Cork. Or Sandyford- city centre. Sure, trams are fine inside the city but for a distance of more than 10k, bite the bullet and put in a real train.

Rachel Moiselle@RachelMoiselle·
Good morning, everyone. I’ve been contacted privately to amplify this urgent call to action from the Irish Jewish community of Ireland: Antisemitism Minimised by Cork’s Red FM @CorksRedFM. Dear All, This matter directly affects the safety and dignity of the Jewish community across Ireland, and I am calling on you to stand with me in demanding accountability. The Incident Nazi graffiti, including the slogan “Juden Raus” (“Jews Out”) and Hitler slogans, was written on public walls in the Mangala area of Douglas, Cork. This is an unambiguous antisemitic hate crime targeting the Jewish community. Cork’s Red FM, a major licensed broadcaster, published a Facebook post about the incident describing it solely as “vandalism”, with no mention of antisemitism, no acknowledgement of the Jewish community as the targeted victims, and no expression of solidarity whatsoever. The Editor’s Response When the station was formally challenged in writing, the editor, Mark Willington, responded with: “The Facebook post that you refer to clearly states that the vandalism act is hateful and the clear message from the piece is the disgust at such vandalism. There is no requirement in our view to put it any further or to amend the piece. We are satisfied our coverage online and as a broadcaster are fully compliant with our obligations.” This response is not just inadequate. It is a deliberate editorial decision by a named individual in a position of media power to minimise antisemitism on a publicly visible platform reaching thousands of people. Mr. Willington was informed clearly, in writing, of the historical meaning of “Juden Raus” and its genocidal context, and he still refused to correct the record. Why This Is a Threat to the Jewish Community in Ireland When a licensed broadcaster reduces Nazi slogans to a tidiness problem and then, when challenged, states there is “no requirement” to name antisemitism, it sends a devastating message to the Jewish community: that your targeting is not considered serious enough to name. This kind of institutional minimisation normalises antisemitism in public discourse, emboldens those who carry out such acts, and erodes the sense of safety of Jewish people living in Ireland. It is not a minor editorial oversight. It is a pattern of indifference that, left unchallenged, becomes permission. What Has Already Been Done A formal report to INAR, the Irish Network Against Racism, has been submitted; documenting both the original hate crime and Cork’s Red FM’s failure to identify it correctly in their public coverage. The editor has been notified that he has 48 hours to issue a corrective public post naming this incident as antisemitic, acknowledging the Jewish community as the targeted victims, and expressing clear solidarity. Should he fail to do so, I will be escalating this matter directly to Bauer Media Group, the German parent company of Cork’s Red FM, headquartered in Hamburg. As you’ll appreciate, a German media company operating under Germany’s strict laws against antisemitism will take a very different view of this editorial decision than Mr. Willington appears to. What I Am Asking of You Please take whatever action you believe is right and appropriate. This may include: - Filing your own complaint with Coimisiún na Meán, Ireland’s media regulator, regarding Cork’s Red FM’s online coverage - Submitting your own report to INAR at iReport.ie - Contacting Cork’s Red FM directly to demand a corrective post - Share this post widely to ensure the wider Irish public is aware of how this incident was handled - Reaching out to Jewish community organisations nationally to amplify this call for accountability The Jewish community in Ireland should never have to read about Nazi slogans on their streets and then find that the media’s primary concern was the feelings of a Tidy Towns committee. We deserve to be named, defended, and stood with every single time, on every single platform.

From an electricity supply perspective, what we need to understand in Ireland is that we'd be in deep deep sh*t if it were not for the UK's north sea natural gas supply to tap into right now. 50% of our electricity comes from natural gas, and of that 50% - 15% from the North Sea gas fields, 17% from Norway, 8% LNG from the US (and Qatar...), and 10% is indigenous (Corrib gas fields, which is now in a steady decline from peak production in 2018). There are no credible long term alternatives being pursued or implemented by our government to take us away from this natural gas dependence. Those gas supplies are going to keep our grid system functioning for only so long as the UK has also gone down the braindead road of Net Zero and like ourselves as of 2025 have no plans to explore or drill for any new supplies. They'll feel the effects of that decision soon enough, with it cascading onto us too. We have zero plans in place for any of this, and very few (imo) people in positions of power fully understand the slow death our grid is undergoing. I'm not even sure how we reverse this, but I do know we need to act soon.

What is the point in spending €200 million so that people can get from Sligo to Galway at the same speed as driving? Seriously! Make it faster. It's only 120 Km - thats a train going 60km an hour? WTF? should be an hour tops, THATT would be a game changer.

Israel is going to conquer southern Lebanon, and like the Golan Heights, it should NEVER give it back. We never wanted the land, we never asked for the land, but firing rockets at us makes it clear that it's a necessity for us to have the land. So to all the haters: f*ck off. Not giving you a debate, not giving you an argument. The land is ours. You come for it, we will defend it.

The reason that Europe won't help Trump in Iran is not because they hate Trump. The reason that won't help is that they fear Islam. They spent 20 years importing 3rd world Islamists. If Europe goes to war against Iran; London, Paris and Berlin will see massive pogroms of angry Moslems. Europe is lost.

@OdohertyI64991 You cannot marry someone of a different religon in Israel Ian. that is a fact. You can go abroad and marry there and the authorities will recognize it, but that stinks to me like when Holy Ireland banned abortion but looked the other way as thousands of women "went to England".

That’s just not true. They offered Israel normalization if it absorbs millions of Arab “refugees” and changes its name to Palestine. That’s the meaning of the “right of return” condition that gullible Western observers assume is just rhetoric.
Brian Tashman@briantashman

Every Arab country for two decades now has offered Israel full normalization of ties if they formalize their 1967 borders and end the occupation. Israel said no.

@EylonALevy Ah Eylon! Just stop it! Thats not true - the Arab Peace Initiative calls for a "just solution" for refugees to be negotiated by all parties, probly with a right of return for all to the new Palestine and a small symbolic number of 1st gen Nakba victims allowed move to Israel.

Here is what happened. Israeli special forces arrived in Lebanon by helicopter trying to retrieve the remains of a soldier who fell in Lebanon years ago, but they were ambushed, not just by Hezbollah but by so-called "civilians," locals who started shooting at them. The mission was aborted, the Israeli soldiers retreated, and the Israeli Air Force covered for them by pounding those Hezbollah-controlled villages. The moral of the story is that you lose your civilian status when you start shooting.

Eastern Europe is the most exploitable talent arbitrage on the planet right now and almost nobody in the Western business world is paying attention because they're too busy overpaying for mid work from the Philippines and India… Romania, Bulgaria, Serbia, Poland, Ukraine, Croatia. Average salaries $500-1,000/month. But the talent coming out of these countries isn't $500/month talent. It's $5,000-8,000/month talent priced at a tenth of what you'd pay in the US because the local economy hasn't caught up to the skill level yet That gap is the exploit Every other "hire cheap overseas" conversation defaults to Southeast Asia or South Asia. And sure, the prices are low. But anyone who's actually tried to scale operations in those regions knows the pattern. Language barriers. Cultural disconnect. Equipment issues. Endless training loops. You spend more time managing output than you save in cost. The $4/hour rate sounds nice until you're on revision 14 and the work still isn't usable Eastern Europe skips all of that These countries have legitimate university systems. Strong STEM education. English fluency across the entire 18-30 demographic, sometimes better than native speakers in the US (not even joking). They grew up on the same internet, same memes, same cultural references. Zero cultural gap when working with Western businesses. You don't need to explain context. You don't need to translate intent. They just get it And they have real infrastructure. Laptops. Fast wifi. Proper software. Modern tools. You're not onboarding someone who needs you to walk them through basic setup. You're hiring someone who's already operating at a professional level but happens to live in a country where $1,000/month is a great salary The applications go way beyond content. Developers in Bucharest building full-stack apps for $1,500/month that would cost you $8-12k from a US agency. Designers in Belgrade producing brand assets at agency quality for $800/month. Sales closers in Sofia running calls in perfect English for $1,000/month plus commission. Media buyers in Warsaw managing $50k+/month ad accounts for $1,200/month. Copywriters, project managers, data analysts, customer support, operations managers. Every single role in your business can be filled from Eastern Europe at 80-90% cost reduction with zero quality drop The training speed is the real cheat code though. Hand someone in Bucharest a brief on Monday and you get back usable output by Wednesday. Not "needs 6 rounds of feedback" output. Actually usable, deploy-immediately output. The baseline competency is just different when the talent pool is educated, tech-native, and hungry It's common now for operators running lean businesses to have their entire team in Eastern Europe except themselves. 4-8 people. Total payroll $5-8k/month. Output equivalent to a $40-60k/month US team. The business runs 24/7 because the time zone overlap with the US is actually perfect for async work (btw it doesn't hurt that Eastern Europe has the baddest bitches on the planet. If you need on-camera talent for any kind of brand content targeting Western audiences, a girl in Sofia or Bucharest is visually indistinguishable from a girl in LA but costs a fraction. The talent pool for that specific use case is bottomless and nobody's tapped it properly yet) The freelance platforms are the worst place to find these people. The best ones are in local Facebook groups, Telegram channels, and Eastern European Twitter. You DM 50 people, 40 respond within hours because an $800/month retainer is life-changing money and they actually take pride in the work. The talent density is absurd once you know where to look
