There's something deeply disturbing about the closure of one of the oldest schools in England, which goes back to AD 631, its roll of headmasters to 1114, and numbers Thomas Paine among its former pupils. Our national educational heritage, sacrificed for an ideological tax grab.

I recently accidentaly came across some gameplay footage from a game called Samson. As the creator of Mafia, it naturally caught my attention, because it looks like Mafia! And it surprised me, cause It looks absolutely gorgeous, and nobody’s talking about it! WTF? Later I’ve found out it costs only 24 euros, it’s already out, nobody’s talking about it, and it has pretty bad reviews. WTF2! So I bought it. It really looks looks FAN-TAS-TIC! ... and it’s a eurojank. Then I found out the story behind it. The creators of Just Cause, an indie development team, couldn’t find a publisher, layoffs, cutting back on the original plan, rushed self-publishing without advertising, bugs, a struggle for survival. It could easily have happened to KCD as well. For the money, it’s not bad. Give it a try. It looks really great. But I have a feeling that given the number of announced titles, we’ll be hearing a few more stories like this this year... :( @SamsonMcCray @LiquidSwords

British class system= 20 something woman renting on minimum wage is middle class because she reads books; 50 something man who owns her house and three others is working class because he expresses socially conservative views in a regional accent. That’s how it works.

Mark Gatiss: "I don't understand the antipathy towards Keir Starmer" The actor – currently starring in a play lampooning fascism – argues that the PM is doing a good job, but from the press he gets "you'd think he was Vlad the Impaler". Listen on the New Society podcast.

You don't hate landlords - you hate the consequences of a housing shortage caused by restrictive planning rules. You don't hate freeholders - you hate the consequences of building cost inflation, disproportionate fire safety rules, and having to make major decisions about your home with complete strangers.

If you earn £100,000 a year plus expenses and perks you are obviously not working class. This isn't Ancient Rome. People do not inherit their class.
