#PencilArt  I’ve been sharing my classical pencil portraits like “Whispers of Velvet I & II” and I’m genuinely curious about what you think. When 30 hours of work was put into each one, I was disappointed that from 812 views, I only had 36 likes and wondered whether it was the subject or the artwork.  Would you like to see more of this Regency/Empire-inspired style, or would you prefer something more modern and contemporary?  I’m planning to start a modern woman piece soon and would love your thoughts before I begin. My daughter Annika is proudly autistic and 12 years old. She drew this butterfly from a photo she took herself — every vein, every scale, rendered by hand on a tablet. She signs everything she makes.
