Can anyone explain to me why Brexit has failed to do in 10 years what Starmer has managed to do in one, and somehow people think he’s the “worst” Prime Minister we’ve ever had?

I knew a lot of people who who got seriously ill from covid including my best friends 28 year old wife who tragically passed. It was just a flu tho.

Asylum decisions have quadrupled. The asylum backlog is now down from its peak of 175,000 to 49,000 people awaiting a decision - the lowest level since 2019. More decisions mean more asylum hotel closures and more illegal migrants removed or deported.

@richardmmorrish @RachelReevesMP In July 2024, the average price per kWh was 22.36 vs 25.73 today (mine is 21.47) but looking at averages. So thats a 15% increase. Average standing charges have actually dropped since July 2024.

@david76586 @RachelReevesMP David, if you read it correctly. Since Labour took office my electricity bill has gone from £61 a month to £131 a month. Slightly more than 100%. Nothing to do with the price cap. That is the actual bill with the increasing standing charges. Hope that clears it up for you.

Growth higher than forecast, borrowing down, and now inflation falling further than expected. This Labour government has the right economic plan.

@RachelReevesMP Growth is higher because of Government spending, yes you are included in GDP! It is higher also because the price of everything has sharply increased. Not the made up figure of ONS. Example since you took office my electricity bill has increased 100% not 3.5%, heating oil 150%
