I can understand a minister or shadow minister suffering from burnout and consequently returning to the back benches. But a backbench MP? With no formal responsibility other than voting? What is it that time is being taken out from? What is it that there is a ‘leave of absence’ from? MPs aren’t employees. Is this just a letter to say no surgeries for a few weeks?

Following my doctor’s advice, I am taking some time away from work for health reasons. My office will be functioning as usual and my staff are there to support all my constituents who need help, so please don't hesitate to get in touch. See my full statement below.

@FaithStorey @elonmusk No. A trial is going on now. In UK no publicity is allowed during trial or it is contempt of Court. Musk so often misrepresents UK.

@elonmusk I wonder if the people are afraid to say anything because they might get arrested. Just my thought. 🤔

@elonmusk There is a trial going on now. UK procedures are in place. I hope you don't prevent due process with your stupid irresponsible posts.

246,000 Brits left last year. Net, 136,000 went. A city the size of Watford. Many are entrepreneurs, investors, small businesspeople. It’s the Starmer Exodus. Reform will Bring Brits Back.

@RobertJenrick Weasel words. You didn't do very well when you were in charge of immigration did you? And now your trying to deflect from surprisingly good figures from Labour. Not even man enough to give credit were it's due.

Incredible speech delivered by Baroness Linforth in the House of Lords today calling for clean indoor air in schools. “It would cost less than a tenner per child per year to provide pupils and staff with clean air - about the same cost as a coffee and a cake.” ☕️🧁

I do find #SHOTY enjoyable showcasing different areas & homes. Homegrown Hoose, Mortonhall, was a worthy winner with imagination, innovation, fun & a real home. But the prog should have different categories & not put homes on a budget against houses with money no option.

@GerryHassan I really wasn't sure about that house. My house is eclectic, but the mish mash of styles and all the clutter in Homegrown Hoose made my brain hurt.

Yet more reasons for voting for Robert. All the Left can do is their usual snobbish and out of touch attitude towards working people entering politics. Desperately scour his social media, looking for anything that they can use to try to cancel him. This won't work and it will backfire on them frankly.

@acachilles10 @whitesquall @atrupar Early Christians in the first C practiced a radical, localized form of communal living. According to the Book of Acts, the initial community in Jerusalem pooled their resources, held property in common & sold possessions to ensure no one within their group lived in poverty

@atrupar Trump is, of course, correct here. Christians who follow the Bible are the best people in society. They are law-abiding, family people who love America. Leftwing atheists are the worst communists you could imagine. America needs more religion, not less.

JCB owner Bamford: “You can’t get away with £60k benefit handouts.” Also billionaire brothers Anthony Bamford and Mark Bamford: Not paying a tax bill of up to £500 million. What greedy, Farage-supporting bastards.

We are concerned about people who don’t share our values. Americans generally do. North Africans (for example) generally don’t. Ukrainians and Poles do. Arabians and Pakistanis often do not. The skin pigmentation is immaterial but you like to think you’re a good person for saying this crap. You’re part of the problem in truth.

I’m an immigrant who’s lived and worked in the UK for 16 years. I have a North American accent and I’m white. I’ve never once been told to ‘go back’ to my ‘shithole country’ or to ‘stop stealing jobs from British people’. You’re not concerned about immigration. You’re racist.

home from first chemo session, few weeks after the surgery. Not a fun time. Body just healing and getting stronger following being cut open, now this to kick the buggery out of me again. Has to be done, but this has not been a good year so far...
