Anyone ever notice how that deleted line Palpatine had in the scene where he appoints Anakin to be his representative on the Council perfectly mirrors Obi-Wan's later speech? Only, Palps is saying "I love your accomplishments, aren't I great?" and Obi's just going "I love you."

For as much criticism as I’ve had with this season of The Boys, Homelander becoming a pathetic, sniveling little rat the second he loses his powers is so perfectly on brand for him after everything we’ve seen.

“You already know the name” is a strange way to sell this, which is pitching itself as an accessible “everybody’s welcome” theatrical relaunch of “Star Wars.” I would bet a lot of people don’t, in fact, already know the name Rotta, and the goal should be getting them in seats.

I think it's absolutely crazy how Rian Johnson is still the scapegoat whom people blame for Luke's exile in this trilogy considering: a) This is how the opening crawl of 'The Force Awakens' starts. b) Michael Arndt & every other writer working on TFA could not figure out how to include Luke in this story without overshadowing the other characters, so they chose to only introduce him at the end of the story. c) Han gives a pretty clear explanation for what happened with Luke's Jedi Academy, i.e. Ben Solo fell to the dark side and "turned against him and destroyed it all" (direct quote!). Because of this, "Luke felt responsible and walked away from everything." There are people who still insist Luke should have been doing something active in his exile, like fighting some ancient evil or looking for something that could help restore balance in the force, but that would completely go against what 'The Force Awakens' set up. Luke felt responsible fo Ben's fall and the death of his students. He left for that exact reason and *nothing* else. J.J. Abrams, Lawrence Kasdan and Michael Arndt made this narrative decision. Rian Johnson only followed through with it. He is not at fault for Luke's place in the Sequel Trilogy.

Brad Pitt is still alive by the way. They could have just asked him to play the ghost of Achilles and his signs of ageing would have just worked for him to show his decayed essence as a spirit in the underworld. The movie would have instantly become far more watchable. Ana de Armas as Athena. Henry Cavil as Odysseus. You could even get an AI to turn the Fagles translation into a screenplay. @vitor_motta10 @RedBoulderPunch everything they say, Lucas agrees with and quotes verbatim. so: - either George decided to make his own principles sound dogmatic - they're his self-inserts but he didn't focus on characterizing them properly, and Anakin is sympathetic which makes them seem apathetic by contrast.

It’s ALL they are They have forbiddings for everything, and they blind faith to their dogma is what made Anakin abandon them, instead of hearing and learning from the Chosen One, they scrapped him every time

He’s supposed to be the cool renegade Jedi that the Council doesn’t fully trust because he doesn’t fully abide by their dogma Absolutely nothing in the movie itself or Neeson’s performance communicates this whatsoever in a satisfying or interesting manner

Now for the Sith book, Palpatine's comment on THR is only a single line. Makes sense, not a lot of Sith activity back then.

@DarthFeanor Saber duels are a game of "rock paper scissors". Dooku's precise style is perfect vs Obi-Wan's defensive one, but Anakin can overcome it with his blunt/aggressive style, which in turn is ineffective vs Obi-Wan's defensive style etc. Ahsoka's style isn't ideal to counter Baylan's.
