Monad Foundry Day 6: Keone and Eunice in the house
we are on a very intime session with all Founder participants, and i wanted to ask the cofounders about the experience and learning of going from prelaunch to live product and changes in cultural shifts within a company going through that transition
Eunice discussed how the power of hindsight can help build the insights of the future, and how being able to quantify outcomes is pivotal to decide the path ahead
Keone mentioned how there is always a fight after the other, and how it’s about resilience and determination to march towards your goal.
that while market conditions are suboptimal and that has short term impact, it’s sustaining a long term momentum that determines the winner
i could say so much from this hours long session we had with them, but the way this session looked so genuine and as mentioned intimate with the builders is something that no tweet can convey
what’s certain is that the monad vision is in job-not-finished mode, and that the monad chain chapter is just getting started
they have extreme interest in the individual success of their projects, and want to understand how to help teams achieve their individual north stars (they also have one, guess it?)
success through ecosystem, high tides lift all boats mentality, with honest self awareness of where they were, where they are today, and the road ahead

monad foundry day 5 - the execution event sdk (event ring)
"if you look at this, you'll think immediately that it has been written by high frequency traders" quoting category labs
POE, our next gen product, is already built leveraging the execution event sdk:
POE reads execution events directly from shared memory, filters for the events that matter, and reacts at microsecond latency to estimate the correct price right at this block
the LFJ team is already leveraging the top technologies that Monad can offer. be more bullish.

No doubt that a cofounder AND a demonstrated ability to hire and retain a strong team are integral to “invest ability”
The number of solo founders who have come to me over the years with this very point - my potential round lead won’t commit unless I get a co-founder AND show that we have a plan and resource to build a strong team.

gmonad as the second day of Monday foundry we had the change to have a round table with VCs and market makers
my question for them was, how do they differentiate projects as investable now that anyone can slop a great MVP.
the answer focused on what they are looking for that can identify a clear winner: having already established presence in the market, with a high switching cost for users to abandon yours vs a possibly slopped alternative, and that if you really have built something unique it is clear to them that it won’t be easy for a competitor to copy your product
also, that they are rarely looking at a solo founder without that founder having at least at their disposal a founding team, reminding that having a cofounder is fundamental to balance each others weaknesses.
mac mini are not yet a viable cofounder unfortunately

@NJscriptwriter 100% for first time founder they are betting on the team to not disappear, and having a team believing in the project is part of the proposition

@zayn4pf @_jhunsaker doggo sniffed the next big thing on monad and looked right at it

@DavideFi @_jhunsaker dog looks like he understood all of it, i think that’s very bullish.

Brahma has been acquired by @Polymarket.
We started @BrahmaFi in late 2021 with a simple bet: crypto infrastructure was too complex for the people who stood to benefit from it most.
Over four years we built vaults, smart accounts, automated execution, and a full payment settlement stack connecting crypto to credit cards. All trying to close the gap between what DeFi could do and what users could actually use. It wasn't always smooth, but we shipped through every cycle and came out the other side with something we're proud of.
It started with a late night ping from @allquantor: "get on the phone, Shayne wants to talk to you guys." One call turned into many. Polymarket is scaling fast and building products that need the exact kind of infrastructure thinking we'd spent four years developing at Brahma. That overlap was obvious from day one.
Prediction markets are the clearest example of a crypto-native product going mainstream, and the ambition is to take that much further. New market categories, new product surfaces, mainstream audiences.
That's exactly the kind of problem my co-founders @kakujain, @BapireddyK and I want to focus on next. Our product and engineering team is joining to help make it happen.
To everyone who built with us, used what we made, or backed us when it was just an idea - thank you. We're here to build.
