There should be a calendar product for families. We literally tape our summer calendar on the wall. If we aren’t home we don’t know what we have on certain days. Would pay monthly sub.

@housecor @playwrightweb With the Playwright tests and everything else in place, what's your outlook on unit tests for this situation?

I joined a struggling team in January. Then: 🚫 No tests 🚫 Few lint rules 🚫 No CI config 🚫 Over 1,300 “any” in TypeScript 🚫 1,000’s of lines of mapping code 🚫 App frequently crashed Now: ✅ Many @playwrightweb tests ✅ ESLint enforces coding standards ✅ Robust CI (builds, tests, lints, etc) ✅ Eliminated 100’s of "any"s - Validating responses via Zod exposed many bugs ✅ Eliminated all mapping code by returning camelCase JSON from APIs ✅ The app is stable Huge improvement. 🎉

I've put in a lot of work hours using an iPad (10th gen, with keyboard folio). Most adapts pretty well, though I'm surprised by how many apps still aren't great on iPad. Too many still don't even exist. The biggest struggle is spreadsheets; just no match for that small screen!

"I'd like to deposit €20 please" Bank teller: "Sure thing, no problem..." Bank teller (on their keyboard) Alt→PauseBreak→F7→F7→Num Lock→Num Lock→Num Lock→PrintScr→Ctrl+Shift+ScrollBreak →Home→End→[→End →F4 →PQ → Esc "So, €20 was it?" WTF is this interface?

@michaelglena @Google @Calendly @googlecalendar I'm good with this change, as I regularly receive unwanted invites from marketers trying to trick me into a meeting. This "friction" you describe seems like a necessary and normal way to deal with these bad actors. All you have to do is accept the invites you want, right?

PSA: @Google is quietly killing 3rd party appointment booking services like @Calendly in favor of their own newly launched competitor... And of course this "spam prevention" measure doesn't apply to meetings booked through their own new competitive software, which naturally doesn't support any video meetings options but Meet... 🙄 What changed: Google recently auto-opt-in'd most user's to default to NOT show 3rd party invites in calendar UNLESS the booker has previously emailed the host (defeats the point of booking software) or they explicitly accept the invite in email (massively more friction). It's causing major issues for us @GrainHQ where users book time and assume all is well, but accidentally miss meetings b/c it never appeared on their calendar. It still shows as normal on the booking owner's end... These moves are so blatantly anti-competitive and anti-consumer... all under the guise of "spam prevention"... which they could easily manage for google accounts using 3rd party booking software. Any chance @FTC / @TheJusticeDept gets involved to protect consumers? x.com/rachel_l_woods…

React Native has come a long way and Blue_sky is a testament that choosing this tech (or another cross-platform one like Flutter) is sensible for many startups over starting native. Blue_sky is on iOS and Android, performance is excellent, and built by 1 engineer (!!)

@dohertyjf So do you ensure those external people are into shack beforehand, or do you have tips on how to get them to actually use it? Most of ours tend to onboard and then just send emails.

Here's some examples of processes that support growth 👇 • Collecting VOC • Sending VOC to people who need it • Tracking KPIs • Actually checking KPIs at some frequency • Monthly / quarterly growth audits • Measuring performance of past efforts • Monthly all-hands Etc.
