This is incredibly dirty.
But given that PEG is a lying POS and will spew anything to score points with his fans, this might be a good time to tell y'all that his tweet is 95% BS.
Damon wrote the kernel of the original "Good Will Hunting" script for a Harvard playwriting class in 1992. Affleck joined on, and it was sold to Castle Rock in 1994 and then passed along to Miramax in 1995. Many people read the script along the way and thought it had potential (including Kevin Smith and Rob Reiner). Much rewriting occurred. This is a normal Hollywood path, with lots of witnesses.
There is no evidence that Goldman (who was indeed sometimes used as a script doctor) wrote this particular script. In fact, Goldman specifically says in his 2000 memoir that his contribution was almost nothing. He looked at the script for part of one day and agreed with Rob Reiner that a thriller subplot involving espionage should be cut. That's it. In his words, "Total contribution: zero."
Goldman was notoriously candid and would have no reason to lie about this. (And again, there is no evidence. You might as well say I wrote the script! There is just as much evidence!)
As for claiming Affleck and Damon were not asked about Weinstein ("not once"), Jesus, you can just use Google to find out PEG is lying! (Try ABC News' "Matt Damon opens up about Harvey Weinstein, sexual harassment and confidentiality agreements". And there are others.)
But yes, Damon is a lib, and Affleck has a trans kid. So I guess that's reason enough for PEG to try and smear them.

Given that Matt Damon is a turbo-lib and Affleck has a trans kiddo, this might be as good a time as any to tell y’all that the story around Good Will Hunting is fake. The scenario for Good Will Hunting was written by notorious Hollywood script doctor William Goldman, who also wrote Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, The Princess Bride, and All the President's Men. Damon and Affleck were cast to play the part of the penniless screenwriters who made it in Hollywood by none other than Miramax’s Harvey Weinstein. Good Will Hunting fit right into Miramax’s ‘90s recipe of making movies with broad audience appeal but enough veneer of intellectualism to win oscars (with vigorous campaigning). One of the most striking aspects of the entire Weinstein fracas is that Damon and Affleck were never asked, not once, not even when they went on Rogan, what they knew when about Weinstein allegedly preying on movie starlets. Affleck and Damon are ultra-wealthy and ultra-respected even though their entire career is built on a lie orchestrated by the most infamous conman and sex criminal in Hollywood history.
