@sousgod27 @SpursReporter I read it clearly, thanks for the insult. Nevertheless it’s the playoffs! This Spurs team shouldn’t care of who they are matched with. Focus on round one then round two then WC finals. Then the finals. The only incentive is to win the championship at the end!

tears “best defender itl” can’t do anything against Flagg😭😭

For those unfamiliar, players MUST participate in at least 65 games to be eligible for end-of-season awards and honors. Bad news: Wemby has only played 61 games this season. Good news: Wembanyama can still qualify for postseason awards, but he will need to rely on technicalities in the NBA rulebook and approval from the league itself to hit the required 65-game minimum. A game generally only counts toward that total if the player is on the court for at least 20 minutes. Right now, Wemby only has 61 games that meet that strict threshold. The league COULD allow up to two exceptions for games when a player logs between 15 and 19 minutes. Because Wemby played 16 minutes on Monday before leaving with his rib contusion, he can use these exceptions to count two of his shorter games. If the NBA grants both, that bumps his total to 63. Second, his appearance in the mid-season NBA Cup Final officially counts toward the threshold, bringing his total to 64 qualifying games. To officially reach 65 games Wembanyama must play at least 20 minutes in either Friday's matchup against Dallas or Sunday's season finale against Denver.

Rim Defense Landscape... ➡️ More Rim FGA Defended ⬆️ Lower Opponent Rim FG% What stands out?

Nikola Jokic career averages vs. Wemby: 37.3 PPG 10.9 RPG 9.1 APG 1.4 BPG 1.1 SPG 55% FG 5-2 record.

An anonymous West coach says Wemby's 8-foot wingspan completely neutralizes SGA’s elite midrange game and foul baiting. "Victor can take away their biggest weapon. When games are close, Shai [Gilgeous-Alexander] gets to his spot at the elbows and kills you with his midrange jumper, or gets you to foul him. Well, Victor has a f---ing eight-foot wingspan, and he can defend that jumper and the rim at the same time; he can be far enough away that Shai can't draw contact from him. Shai says he's got the answers to the test. Well, he's right, but Victor breaks all the rules." (Via @WindhorstESPN )
