Slap your left tit if you want a Thursday Comms.

That 91st minute chest bump by Dalot to celebrate a textbook tackle by Casemiro which was followed by a camera that stayed on a woman in the crowd slightly too long as she stood punching her left tit about 15 times on the bounce was simply magnificent. Seriously Comms worthy.

It is slightly alarming how little people seem to know about general finances. So let's tackle some of the commonly made mistakes:
1. The club cannot unilaterally terminate contracts of non-performing players. It doesn't work that way. You have signed a contract with a player and you have to honor it. Or you must provide sufficient financial compensation in order to release him from his contract (which is not advisable in a PSR-led world). Even during a sale, the purchasing club must establish an appropriate wage structure with him and he might even seek compensation from the current club for the premature termination of his contract.
So the club for example cannot terminate the contracts of Casemiro, Shaw, Mount, etc as much as you wish them to. It is unfair that they still get to earn millions but common people have to lose their jobs. But there is nothing to be done.
2. Ineos cannot simply clear the debt till they remain the minority owners. For starters they aren't allowed to do so unless there is an equity swap which would require shareholder-approval. And seriously, why would you put your own cash into something you don’t fully own? You’re not getting anything out of it. So let's wait for majority ownership. I expect movement.
3. Ineos/Ratcliffe can't come out and blame the Glazers for the mess we are currently in. They signed a mutual non-disparagement clause when the deal was signed meaning neither party can criticise the other till they are in this together. It is a pretty standard procedure (x.com/TelegraphDucke…)
4. Cost cutting is brutal, people losing jobs is terrible. But it is also nothing new. Most takeovers, especially failing businesses, have brutal cost cuts. Everything is trimmed down so cash could be directed to where it's most needed to get the club running again. In this case, getting maximum cash available for the summer transfer window.
5. As per the latest Athletic article, United's staff numbers following the latest round of redundancies will be around 696 which is comparable to rival clubs and pretty much the norm at major European clubs (x.com/RedMarrow_/sta…)
For the umpteenth time, I kindly ask you to remain calm. Given our financial situation, these measures were anticipated. There is a rationale behind the chaos.
