Same as yesterday. Gabriel is technically unreliable against a compact, top team. But that was not our biggest problem. It was the striker.

After United equalized, Arsenal had a spell in the next few minutes where they gave away ball after ball. I counted 5 unforced errors in 5 minutes. Gabriel was responsible for 3 of them. One almost sent Mbeumo through. One resulted in a shot. One in a transition.

When you are playing a good team, your striker is meant to win balls that brings the rest of your team up the pitch. Fouls, headers, duels, outright ball control—anything that releases pressure and allows the team to play. When you have a Gyokeres against a Liverpool or City like Arsenal have done this season, you don't get anything. He can't beat any one of their defenders for anything. Therefore, they are free to sustain pressure and control possession. Unfortunately, fans think this is mega brain stuff and it is down to tactics.

Dowman obviously still has time to develop physically, but Yamal rn is just too rapid in comparison. I think even when he broke out he was just too damn rapid, too powerful. Even acceleration, I feel Yamal is way ahead.
