The SAVE America Act makes it harder for American citizens to vote. It hands private voter data over to DHS and adds costly hurdles just to register. We should be making it easier for Americans to have their voices heard and have their right to vote — not harder.

I’ve been very supportive of POTUS on Iran & believe getting rid of Maduro was good. But I’ve been appalled by this Admin's tone, rhetoric, tactics & strategy toward Europe. Denigrating our allies has been terrible. Weakness communicated to Putin has caused grave damage. Passive-aggressive communication toward President Zelenskyy is embarrassing. I hear from our allies about the damage this has done & it’s going to take time to repair.

I have just spoken with Iranian President Massoud Pezeshkian. I called on him to put an immediate end to the unacceptable attacks Iran is carrying out against countries in the region, whether directly or through proxies, including in Lebanon and Iraq. I reminded him that France is acting within a strictly defensive framework aimed at protecting its interests, its regional partners, and freedom of navigation, and that it is unacceptable for our country to be targeted. The unchecked escalation we are witnessing is plunging the entire region into chaos, with major consequences today and for the years to come. The people of Iran, like those across the region, are paying the price. Only a new political and security framework can ensure peace and security for all. Such a framework must guarantee that Iran never acquires nuclear weapons, while also addressing the threats posed by its ballistic missile programme and its destabilising activities regionally and internationally. Freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz must be restored as soon as possible. I also urged the Iranian President to allow Cécile Kohler and Jacques Paris to return safely to France as soon as possible. Their ordeal has gone on for far too long, and they belong with their loved ones.

@GoodTroubleShow Except you didn't tell the whole story you carefully selected comments out of context. They did plan for it or they wouldn't have sunk their entire Navy nor would every briefing to date would not have included a reference to the Strait and its importance.

This is a tanker on fire in the Strait of Hormuz. Trump officials just told Congress — behind closed doors — that they didn't plan for Iran closing the strait. They launched a war without planning for the most predictable consequence in the history of U.S. national security. This is what MAGA voted for. Gas prices up 51 cents in a week. Zero tankers moving through the world's most critical oil chokepoint. And an administration that literally admitted to Congress they didn't see it coming. Elections have consequences. This one's on fire.
