The silence is deafening from so many in my network who are under some misguided notion that we in tech need to be independent and apolitical. Rejecting Hamas, terrorism, brutality and rape has nothing to do with politics. Mourning the loss of life: Israelis and Palestinian civilians is not political. Supporting Israel’s right to defend itself against Hamas is not political. Imploring Israel to allow food, water and aid into Gaza is not political. Imploring Israel to do everything it can to not harm innocent civilians is not political. Shame on those in tech standing on the sidelines. I won’t forget.
