A man won £1.7 MILLION playing blackjack online at 1am. The casino called the next morning to congratulate him. Then called back two days later to say there was a software glitch and they were keeping the money. They offered him £60,000 to stay quiet and sign a document promising never to talk about it. He said no. – Andrew Green was a 54 year old from a small village in Lincolnshire England. – Just after midnight on January 26 2018 he opened the Betfred app and started playing a blackjack game called Frankie Dettori's Magic Seven. – He played for five and a half hours straight. – When he finally stopped the screen showed £1,722,500.24 in winnings. – He called Betfred. They congratulated him. Told him to call back after 9:30am to arrange collection. – He went out that night and celebrated with his family. Spent £2,500 on dinner. He was already a millionaire in his head. – Monday morning he called back. They said the win was so large it needed to be sent to the game provider Playtech for verification. Standard procedure they said. – Wednesday Betfred called again. Playtech had found a software glitch. The win was void and he would not be paid. – Their offer was £60,000 but on one condition. He had to sign a non-disclosure agreement promising never to discuss what had happened. – He said no. – He sued and the case went to the High Court in London. – The judge ruled Betfred's terms and conditions were not transparent and not fair. They could not rely on them to withhold payment. – Three years after he won the money the court ordered Betfred to pay the full £1.7 MILLION plus interest. – Standing outside the High Court he said "The last three years have felt like hell on earth. I think Betfred have treated me abysmally." – Betfred apologised for the delay. – They never explained how many other players hit the same glitch and quietly accepted the £60,000. A man won £1.7 MILLION at 1am, spent £2,500 celebrating before the money arrived, then spent three years in court to collect what was already his.

@GlobalFC5 I assume that you are being ironic or do the Argentina team play to a different set of rules to every other national team in the world? And of course a red card was not given for that foul but rather a second yellow card so it’s a pointless post anyway

Was that really not a red card? 🤬 From my perspective, it looked intentional. That decision changed the course of the match, and I believe the referee got it wrong. In my opinion, that moment ultimately cost us the game.😭 Football deserves consistent and fair officiating. What do you think?🥺

@ThreshedThought Do we not even do proper shoulder boards for senior officers now? Trivial I know alongside the lack of military hardware but a sign of the times nevertheless

I am so encouraged by the vast number of young British men who are joining up to Restore Britain. Thousands and thousands and thousands of them. Today, an article in the Daily Telegraph called them Nazis. This is what the establishment does - it stands on the neck of those young British men who care about their country, who want illegals deported and who believe in an immigration system that benefits the British people only. Tim Stanley at the Telegraph should be ashamed of himself, as should Reform who have used the same vile language. Millions of young men feel entirely politically alienated. For decades, no political party has spoken for them. Well now there is one. Restore Britain. And hundreds and hundreds more join every day. We won't treat them like dirt, we won't patronise them, we won't insult them. I urge all young men who are now following Restore Britain to rise above it. Work hard, be respectful, play by the rules, but enjoy yourselves - ignore the woke bullshit, and crack on. Get involved, and spread the word. We are going to get our country back.

Jordan is over 97% Muslim, and the country allows pork. UAE is 75% Muslim, and there’s pork there. Lebanon is about 68% Muslim, and, you guessed it - pork. The UK is about 7% Muslim. And they want to ban pork. See the problem yet?

@ThreshedThought That’s about as strong a response as one could hope for - reading between the lines they’re very unhappy with the SEW Board

NatWest responds: they say they are “concerned” about the fact that my constituents have now endured twenty-three days without water. They recognise that SEW has “problems” and that its board and management have “important questions … to address”. They’re “disappointed” by their recent performance and will “use [their] influence” to “fully address” these issues. They also mention that you are in “dialogue” with SEW. Obviously I will be responding to this.
