Ahmedabad rolls out AI-driven traffic system to cut signal delays and congestion. An Adaptive Traffic Control System, designed to adjust signal timings in real time has been introduced at 10 key junctions. According to officials, system uses cameras and sensors to monitor traffic density, speed and lane usage, and then changes signal timings accordingly. Officials say the system is also helping cut fuel consumption and travel time for commuters, as congestion has reduced. If the pilot project is successful, the AI-based system may be used in other areas of Ahmedabad.

Just started my career. Got my 3rd salary today. I should feel proud.. but sometimes it feels like I chose the wrong path or maybe I just don’t know what’s happening. Big companies are laying off thousands. Those people will might look for jobs in mid-size companies. But what about the ones already in mid size companies or start-up? Where do they go if they get laid off? Even while studying or working, this thought keeps coming back "Will this even be helpful in the future?" Because I see what’s coming - AI is getting better - Layoffs are increasing - Competition is getting tougher - And with more competition comes more pressure. - Continuous upgrading. - No pause. - Work beyond office hours.. or risk being left behind. - Pressure for that too. And then I think ..what if I want to switch someday? Now my competitors will be from Google, Oracle, Microsoft. Why would anyone choose me unless I do something extraordinary? So now there’s pressure for doing something extraordinary. F

@aditiraval Definitely, adoption is high be it using solar or EV so Guj is always ahead in trying and adopting environment friendly options. If an easy policy to install solar or EV charging is in place for flats then I'm sure it will spike further.

Ahmedabad is currently seeing long petrol queues stretching up to 3–4 km, blocking roads and creating heavy congestion. In this rush, more fuel is actually being wasted as vehicles idle in traffic. Let’s stay calm and avoid panic buying. Please use fuel wisely so everyone gets fair access and we don’t make the situation worse.

@Samhitab4u @Bartholomew_46 I think IT companies do take exemption under LUT for GST as they export outside of India so don't think IT industry tax income can match that of pharma and other factories.

@Bartholomew_46 VAT on petrol and diesel is greater in Karnataka and Telangana compared to Gujarat, and both states have large IT companies and a migrant population who contribute to the economy. But without excise revenue, these two states will struggle unlike Gujarat.

Alcohol is banned in Gujarat. No liquor stores. No alcohol tax. States like Karnataka and Telangana earn thousands of crores every year from liquor excise. Alcohol is one of the largest revenue sources for many states. How does Gujarat make up for that missing revenue? 🤔
