@parrysingh Dear Singh are there any opportunities for akhar.ai to contribute to REIL’s foundational work? We’re particularly focused on vision and voice. Would love to explore synergies.

Building enterprise AI is a generational opportunity. This could be your moment. We are assembling the founding team at REIL. REIL is a joint venture between Reliance and Meta. Two companies that have shaped how billions of people live and work. REIL exists for a simple reason: to make AI truly work for business. Being new is our strength. We will build what today's businesses need, and what the latest technology can deliver. The decisions we make now will shape what comes next - which is why every person who joins our founding team matters enormously. We are looking for engineers, product builders, and data practitioners. People who are genuinely good at what they do, move fast, and understand what enterprise clients really need. If this resonates, I'd love to hear from you. Fill out the form in my reply below 👇- tell us who you are and how you'd help shape this journey.

@jamesk691 @Ameer_Kotecha Maharaja Ranjit Singh was named the "Greatest Leader of All Time" in a 2020 poll conducted by BBC World Histories Magazine. Are losers awarded Greatest Leaders of All Time? British records says the annexation of Panjab was a blunder 'Dismantling of Stable Buffer State'

In 2016 the Indian government said it should not try to reclaim Koh-i-Noor from Britain. The Indian solicitor-general, representing the Indian government, told the Supreme Court it was "neither stolen nor forcibly taken". Ranjit Kumar correctly pointed out the diamond had been "gifted" to the East India company by the former rulers of Punjab in 1849. That’s that then. Move on
The Telegraph@Telegraph

King Charles dazzled in New York, but politics quickly followed. Zohran Mamdani said he would urge the monarch to return the Koh-i-Noor diamond to India during the visit ⤵️ telegraph.co.uk/royal-family/2…

@CordeliaSm1jps @Ameer_Kotecha Indian giver? That framing is off. Read the history of the East India Co. Its full name was Governor & Co of Merchants of London trading into the East Indies. The East Indies label was used to distinguish the region from the West Indies & India later became a convenient shorthand

@CordeliaSm1jps @Ameer_Kotecha I mentioned it was ceded under “duress,” not “gifted.” Treaty of Lahore 1846 was a betrayal that undermined the Treaty of Amritsar 1809, often referred to as the “Foundation of Peace.” The British Empire or BEI were extremely short-sighted in its vision for the subcontinent.

@deepinders87 @Ameer_Kotecha Mate I'm of the opinion that the diamond should just be tossed into the sea, personally. The thing's fucking cursed.

@deepinders87 @Ameer_Kotecha The Sikh Empire stole it from a member of the Afghan Guranni dynasty, even torturing his son so he'd give it up. The Gurrani were gifted it by the Persians, who had looted it from the Mughals in the first place. Honestly, the Taliban have the strongest claim to it.

@Ameer_Kotecha @naomi2009 Kohinoor was not “gifted” by the Sikh Empire. It was ceded under duress after the annexation of Punjab in 1849 formalized in the Treaty of Lahore & taken along with Maharaja Duleep Singh. Historically it belongs to Panjab, though it now sits in the British Crown Jewels as recut.

Got beaten up by a Zepto rider today. Totally deserved it. He was drinking sugarcane juice in 44 degree Delhi heat. Probably hadn’t eaten since morning. And I walked up to him and said “bhai that’s all sugar and it’s poison. He smiled. His colleagues did not.

Here's some news. Over a year ago, I plunged into the AI journey to shape AI fluency with my venture ClayboxAI. We received a tremendous response. But what's life without a few unexpected twists? Sometime last year, I was approached by the Reliance Group to lead their new enterprise AI JV with Meta. Over the course of several conversations it was clear that this is a once-in-a-generation opportunity to shape Enterprise AI, not just in India, but beyond. So here we are. Excited, but above all, grateful. To everyone who has been part of my journey to this point, thank you. The best chapter is just beginning.

@gurpreet671 You got it right, we’re building for the long term. Our first milestone is to establish a strong foundation in vision, followed closely by audio ensuring both modalities work seamlessly as part of a real language infrastructure for the AI era.

@OtakuProcess Indian customers love to work on WhatsApp. I have had my share of experiences. We now have just two Indian customers. Both billion dollar listed entities. Both having 90% of their business outside India and understand the importance of contracts.

My personal experience - Indian businesses do not believe in contracts. Even if signed, they don't respect them. (This is one of the reasons we at Legitt AI do not engage with Indian clients). My suggestion to everyone - whether you are a business owner, freelancer, employee or a client - insist on signing a contract. Verbal, or even written agreements are not legally enforceable. ALWAYS insist on signing a contract.
Pratham Jindal@prathamdesigns

This is how designers get exploited. I joined Lander studio (@Praha37v ) without a contract. No written agreement. No notice period. Just mutual trust. I never joined to earn a lot of money - but to learn new things, meet new people, build meaningful connections, in general to gain experience & grow. Structure was simple: – ₹40,000/month base – ~10% incentive on client projects I worked on I showed up consistently for ~6 months. Delivered on multiple client projects. Worked over 12 hrs a day with no fixed holidays. Then things changed. When I decided to leave, surprisingly I was given 3 options to get my pending dues: Work 1 more month → no incentives paid Work 2 months, complete 10 templates → 50% incentives + salary Work 3 months, complete 15 templates → 80% incentives + salary (That’s ~1 template every 3 days. 12+ hrs a day.) And obviously I didn’t agree to these terms. Now, despite multiple follow-ups, my dues are still pending. Breakdown: – ₹40,000 (salary of the last month) – ~$900 from 3 client projects Total: ~₹1.3L Instead of clearing the dues, I am also seeing the work I contributed in the last month to being used commercially on framer marketplace with a completely different account (not his usual account). I’m not here to create any drama - just asking for what’s fair. Asking the pay for 300+ hrs of hardwork. Praha, please clear the pending amount. At last I just want to say that I am not only standing up to get my money, but also for myself, for my right, for what I deserve. And honestly it’s too much stress for me as a 18y/o, so want to resolve it as soon as possible. Fellow designers: If this feels unfair to you too, Would really appreciate every kind of support in bringing this post visibility so that no other designers go through this trauma. Thank you.

@harshdeeprapal Totally agree contracts are essential. But the reality check is: pushing clients hard to sign formal agreements often makes you lose deals, esp in price-sensitive or relationship-driven markets. Many still treat it like a trust issue. What’s worked for you to balance this?
