George Floyd was not a martyr. He was murdered. He didn’t give his life. It was ripped from him by agents of the state. Don’t get it twisted.

Governor @GovTimWalz and @MayorFrey have placed us under military occupation. “Operation safety net” can’t be an operation to violate people’s 1st amendment rights and their civil liberties. Stop terrorizing people who are protesting the brutality of state sanctioned violence.

While our eyes are focused on the #ChauvinTrial, new deaths race to fill up our vision + break our hearts. Unarmed children are not men. Their deaths are never justifiable. And a traffic stop should not be fatal. God grant us mercy until the law gives us justice.

We’re not dealing with bad apples, we’re dealing with a rotten tree.

Funding body cameras. Funding more trainings. Funding updated use of force guidelines. All that funding and reform hasn’t stopped the police from killing people or made our communities safer. The problem is systemic and it requires systemic solutions.
