A 13-year-old girl was saved from terrible abuse in Panjabari after being discovered locked inside a divan storage box. On Sunday evening, the District Labour Task Force accompanied by a magistrate raided the home of Amrin Akhtar Laskar (House No. 69, Juripar) following reports from locals. The young girl, who had been working as a domestic helper for six years, was reportedly subjected to ongoing physical violence. The accused allegedly concealed her in the box for around 25 minutes just before the authorities arrived.
