Anybody watching “DTF St. Louis” on HBO? Just watched the latest episode. I don’t think I’ve seen anyone tweet about it.

Given I'm 300 miles away I cannot comment. However, what's with this lartay business ? Is it the same subset who live in the yellow patch on the spelk map and who use the invading word ??
I'm "lat" as in cat and indeed lat (which I've done & is another word entirely !)

@JHCPAL I've noticed something recently which might interest you. There seems to be a division in Newcastle between how people pronounce Latte. Some say it like "lartay" with the "a" sound as in "far"; others with "a" sound like in cat. I wonder if there's a sub accent going on
