New manager to realise the potential and become a serious force in the football league. RC to sell for a big gain once a top 10 championship club.

@TheRealWilloman @robcouhig Don’t think RC cares on style. Purely about staying in L1 whilst he turns business around. It’s too early to go up & it will cause too many issues-club & squad not ready. LR has 3 seasons to build. If it doesn’t happen-stable squad & club is ready for a new mngr to take them fwd.

Squad building next 3 seasons. In meantime RC has business to turn around. Sort that out then aim for higher in every aspect

@detachedopinion @robcouhig I just get fed up with managers wasting resources, Southgate wasted a great generation of talent. Arteta is ruining Arsenal but being the Spanish Tony Pulis and this guy takes the biscuit. I've never seen Reading play this bad, well okay... Terry Bullivant excluded.

@Dubstep1988 Specific performance is often used when damages are not an adequate remedy. E.G. if you buy a freehold title over a piece of land, you can't just buy an identical piece of land elsewhere. Meaning, the court could rule the best resolution is that Dai completes the sale to Couhig.

@Dubstep1988 From an #RFC fans point of view, it looks like Particulars C.(2) could be interesting… ‘a concluded contract for sale which is capable of enforcement by an order for specific performance’. Basically a court can order the required parties to fulfil a contractual obligation.

@willow1871 If we got a significant sum of money for TMac everyone on here would be proud that he was a product of the youth system & a ‘local lad done good’. As you say, the club is in a very bad place so what do we expect!? Direct the anger & disappointment at the crooks running the club.

@TalkReading @spiceboy182 How can it be a strength if it doesn’t work? RFC are bottom, leaking goals, scored 12 in 14 league games. I think what Kitson was saying is that this ‘technical’ approach isn’t working. Lower league level is about doing whatever you can to win. Not pretty Man City style football.

I’d say the fundamental principals of a Sellés team (pressing high from the front and getting the ball forward with quick passes) is exactly this squad’s strengths, theoretically. It’s a young, energetic team mostly from an academy background where the ball is played on the floor.

Can’t work out why anyone wouldn’t want #MikeAshley taking over #readingfc he bought #nufc for £50m and sold them for £305m to a consortium that will take #nufc into the stratosphere. A guy with deep pockets to turn #RFC around & eventually sell for profit after a rebuild.

@Abbykins2010 @Philip052023 That would be a ‘winding-up petition' which is an application sent to the courts, if the creditor (in this case HMRC) is successful, the courts issue the court order which forces an insolvent company into compulsory liquidation. The process, if straightforward, takes 8-10 weeks.
