@LatheefaKoya Sister with due respect people are angry with land trespass on private individual owned. State land is another matter. How can we allow people to build a temple on other individuals land? Don’t equate newly built with those pre merdeka. Trespass is a crime!

Nothing Islamic in breaking temples & harassing minority Indians– nothing to be proud of. 1. Breaking temples, which are serving communities in their area, and mocking someone else’s faith is totally prohibited under Islam. The racist language being used in social media against Indians & their religion is revolting & un-Islamic. The extreme disrespectful language used against temples under the guise of fighting ‘penceroboh tanah’ is ample proof of the racism behind it. For heaven’s sake , they put up places of worship - not gambling dens! 2. It’s easy to be the bully in a country where you are the majority, and have the political advantage. It’s the cowards’ way. Indians/Hindus are the most vulnerable minority – politically & economically weak. 3. Don’t forget, the same issue is on the flip side when it involves minority Muslims in India – where the Hindu majority goes on the attack against their mosques, women in hijab etc. We have also watched in horror when ICE in the USA goes after and harasses dark skinned minorities on the streets. All in the name of law and order. The truth is its all based on racism & hatred, without taking into account any historical context. 4. So to suggest that Malay lands are being taken away, and that ‘tanah Melayu’ needs to be protected against these so-called “illegal temples” is an exaggerated reaction behind a racist agenda. 5. The real problem is that the elites who hold govt power today, distract ordinary Malays into this emotional ‘tanah kita’ and ‘agama kita’ issue. The real threat to our lands is the Land Acquisition Act which is being wielded by big developers with the connivance of the government elite, like in the classic case of Kampung Sg Baru & in many other housing areas in the country. Where are all these ‘pejuang’ when the Kg Baru folks had their houses demolished? Sure, the developers who smashed their houses also claimed that the Kg Baru residents are sitting on their land illegally (never mind that they have been there for generations) – all in the name of law & order, just because they have the big money and influence to buy over the land and throw minimal compensation to the poor residents. 6. In the case of the Masjid India temple, the temple was there for decades before it was bought over by very rich and influential "Malay" business, who were well aware of the temple’s existence. And yet the narrative is that the temple is the ‘penceroboh’ who are compensated for their so-called ‘trespass’. It’s a false unfair narrative popularised by the PM himself. 7. Other big issues are also forgotten, to the convenience of the elite now in power- corruption involving collusion between mafia & enforcement officers & cronies; giving of perks & huge contracts to government cronies; utter lack of transparency in governance. 8. Of this, all are victims, minorities & the majority population as well. We are all in the same boat- poor Indian & poor Malay. Don’t let them split us up using race & religion, face them together. And stop this un-Islamic racist ‘kuil haram’ slander against places of worship.
