We’re on the verge of interactive, real-time, photorealistic video generation with what are called World Models. These require a fair amount of expensive compute, but costs will come down over time. The Roblox Engine provides the underlying synchronized ground truth—the score, physics, multiplayer sync, etc.—while our video model acts as a Super Upsampler to layer on photorealistic detail. We believe this will ultimately remove barriers to high-fidelity creation, allowing a team of three people to build a narrative-driven, photorealistic masterpiece in a single week. Are you for real @Roblox - now I have to wait up to 10 days from a group payout? From a verified group, to me, a verified user? This used to be instantaneous, and this totally affects people like me waiting to be paid. Upsetting.

Unpopular opinion: Most Roblox devs aren’t building games, they’re building Twitter screenshots. CCU peaks. Revenue graphs. Benchmark percentiles. Have you noticed that most people who post a screenshot of their game peaking at 25k CCU are at 30 players just a month or two later? They’re building games that peak high but don’t last. The studios that are most successful work towards something way less flashy: Retention. Not “add a new pet” or “drop a random update and change the thumbnail cause CCU dipped.” Instead they prioritize: • Gameplay systems that get deeper overtime and ease players into them • Progression that feels meaningful • Live ops that are intentional, not desperate @Twin_Atlas is a great example of this. A spike feels good for a weekend and makes for a nice screenshot to post on Twitter. A well-designed game retains players who will continue spending their time and money for years. It’s a skill, and it’s learnable, but not to say it’s easy.

@DeeterPlays Roblox NEEDS to bring back their support for toys. It was so cool that Pizza Place toys connected with Jailbreak toys connected with Natural Disaster toys etc etc. You can't find this anymore. Major major loss.

Being verified on Roblox is the biggest joke on the platform, and the requirements need to be ATLEAST 10x higher... 😭 You can literally get verified if you have a game average 350 players for 90 days which is so unbelievable

This goes for anyone; always move FORWARD while evaluating the PAST to see what went well, then apply it to your next update. Players don't miss the special game lighting, they miss how that lighting made them feel.
