Funny, I can see the discounted price going down, but not the retail price! Discounts only exist on PS Store to incentivise people to spend money on digital games. Disc games simply go down in price because they are depreciating goods and stores need to liquidate the stock. It’s called supply and demand for a reason!

@kabrutusdeid And yet it goes on sale for even less than that digitally all the time… Just like retail, you have to follow digital sales too. The only difference is Sony gets a bigger cut of each sale, but the prices can be very comparable.

@Corpor4lC4rl @GpGeiger86 @kabrutusdeid It does, I bought God of War, Spider-Man and many others over the years cheaper on disc than it was digitally on release. In many instances I got them sooner by pre-ordering, which I only do for disc based games. It’s just retarded to preorder digital games.

No, these games have just gone down in price. Sony is keeping them at full price with discounts regularly to get people buying them digitally, because 80% discount looks better than 20% on Amazon. Without physical options why would they even try to discount the price? They want to have you by the balls. After you pay 1000 quid on the console you have to buy the games.
