We are excited to announce that Tolton Pace, an alumnus of Frederick Douglass High School, has officially been appointed as the new Atlanta Board of Education member for District 6! The swearing-in ceremony was a great success and was celebrated by many in the community. We are incredibly grateful to have Tolton on board, as he brings a wealth of experience and a strong commitment to advocating for our schools and communities. With his dedication and passion for education, we are confident that he will significantly impact our district.

FYI, to Black Men. Black Women are watching you try and tear down an OVERQUALIFIED Black Woman for trying to fulfill her purpose, break barriers, and accomplish her dreams. Your mothers, grandmothers, sisters, wives and daughters would be ashamed seeing you act like this. You look small, insecure and weak doing so.

What an exciting week! Coming back from Spring Break 2024! Our Kindergarten Scholars @APSDeerwood explored with the Solar Eclipse, we won 1st Place in the Race2Read Challenge and enjoyed a PepRally with Atlanta Hawks and to close out we had 19/22 Scholars to score 100% Spelling
