Export Promotion Council for EOUs & SEZs
SEZ Export Promotion Council welcomes Government budget announcement regarding concessional custom duties for supply of goods from Special Economic Zones to DTA subject to certain safeguards for better utilisation of capacities of SEZ units. However, it has not been recognised as a long term reform need as is available globally which is rather disappointing. We hope this is a good beginning and not just a one time measure. Else investment and employment generation in Indian SEZs will remain limited.

In an increasingly fragmented global landscape, trade resilience, long-term predictability, and trusted partnerships have become more important than ever. At today’s discussion on Free Trade Agreements (FTAs), the Commerce Secretary @RajeshAgrawal94 reflected on how modern trade agreements are evolving beyond tariffs to support stronger supply chains, regulatory cooperation, investment flows, and sustainable economic growth. India’s approach to FTAs is focused on creating stable and future-ready partnerships that enable industry to integrate more effectively with global value chains.   #FTA #TradeResilience #GlobalTrade #EconomicPartnerships #ExportFromIndia #DoC_GoI @PIB_India
