Just wanted to say a huge thank you to Jenna from The Folds of Honor and Jon Gray for hosting us at the Texas Rangers game tonight. Both of the organizations are doing amazing things for veterans and first responder families. #foldsofhonor #TexasRangers #missiongraywolf22

@espn Hopefully tomorrow’s broadcast the audio person actually mixes the show so we can hear the announcers instead of background noise and that very loud organ.

Quick crash course on why the Founding Fathers specifically created a constitutional republic & not a "democracy": — The founders were products of the Enlightenment who read natural liberty writers like John Locke and understood the role of govt is to protect the liberty of the individual — President Washington, for example, knew charismatic men could seduce men into giving up their liberty: "It is one of the evils of democratical governments, that the people, not always seeing and frequently misled, must often feel before they can act right; but then evil of this nature seldom fail to work their own cure." — The founders frequently wrote about the "tyranny of the majority," understanding that in a pure democracy, it's very easy for a majority of voters to assign themselves the property/wealth of a minority. — The father of the Constitution, James Madison, wrote: "Where a majority are united by a common sentiment, and have an opportunity, the rights of the minor party become insecure." Elsewhere he warned, "Democracies have ever been spectacles of turbulence and contention; have ever been found incompatible with personal security or the rights of property; and have in general been as short in their lives as they have been violent in their deaths." — John Adams, a federalist, likewise understood the lessons from previous experiments with democracy: "Democracy, will soon degenerate into an anarchy, such an anarchy that every man will do what is right in his own eyes, and no man's life or property or reputation or liberty will be secure and every one of these will soon mold itself into a system of subordination of all the moral virtues, and intellectual abilities, all the powers of wealth, beauty, wit, and science, to the wanton pleasures, the capricious will, and the execrable cruelty of one or a very few." — The only way to preserve the liberty of the individual was to keep power as decentralized as possible, which is why the central govt was to be subservient to the states — Everywhere in the Constitution you see protections against large groups ganging up against smaller groups, which is why every state has 2 senators regardless of population and why the Electoral College is designed to protect federalism (and not "one man, one vote!") — The Founders' fears were well-placed, as the more we've traded our constitutional republic for a democracy — i.e., the 14th - 17th Amendments — the less freedom we all enjoy — Even the great centralizer, Alexander Hamilton, understood the perils of democracy: "If we incline too much to democracy, we shall soon shoot into a monarchy." — John Adams again was prescient: "Remember, democracy never lasts long. It soon wastes, exhausts, and murders itself. There is never a democracy that did not commit suicide." The current discourse we hear about "our sacred democracy" — which usually coincides with calls to prosecute presidential candidates, prohibit "misinformation," pack the Supreme Court, surveil the Internet for wrongthink, & other attempts at keeping power safely consolidated away from the people — show what a grave mistake we've made forgetting the lessons of our founders.

Comical: CNN airs a 5 min segment highlighting how Trump voters better understand the United States than CNN, with interviewees correctly stating we're "a republic, not a democracy" CNN: "This is not actually a debate about gov't, about democracy. It’s an attack on democracy"

I switched flights to get home sooner and of course that flight is delayed and will now get in later than my original flight. Thank you American Airlines for making me regret moving to DFW so I am stuck flying you for business travel. American Airlines sucks. #americanairlines

A new study shows that people who got COVID are just as protected from future infections as those who are vaccinated. And not a peep about this from the Democrats who wanted vaccine mandates. Time to give everyone their jobs back. Let’s start with our nurses and military.
