@Scholars_Stage Applied math (for other fields) might mostly be probability and statistics, also microeconomics?

In any case it is strangely addicting and extremely intellectually diverting. My only guilt about this is that I am not yet good/experienced enough to draw connections between all of this math and other domains of interest... so no big essays have come out of it.

The great change that has happened to me this year: math problems. I literally spend most of my evenings doing math problems. For fun, I guess? As a hobby, if I can call it that? Can you call math a hobby?

@Afinetheorem when you say "Trained on", I think you mean you have a more generic trained model , but with a layer before that model is used that searches your writing for relevant material and passes that to the pre-trained model? (1/2)

My colleague asks, "do you have a personal AI?" Answer, of course I do, hah. Trained on everything I've written + a decade of social media and blog posts. To make it easy, I just did this via AllDayTA, which isn't really built for that purpose - but it's actually pretty accurate!

Surprisingly it has come out the same price as Anchor and cheaper than Lurpak (it's cultured butter so that is the like for like).

@sbkaufman It's not the users; it's the algorithm that is problematic for me. I use it for academic stuff, and it's useless now.

This is really interesting. My progressive friends are leaving X saying that it's all MAGA now. But that just isn't true; it's now more balanced than ever before. Progressives are leaving X because their perspective isn't the dominant one anymore. Dems should learn, not leave.
