@Irish_On_Tour @_benparsons The best thing that could happen to the DPWT is to absorb players from the LIV if it were to disappear. I don't see any other way to make up for the losses from the PGAT.
English

Exclusive: Several LIV players have sounded out the DP World Tour as part of contingency plans with the league's future increasingly uncertain.
I asked DP World Tour chief executive Guy Kinnings about the situation this morning.

@BrianKirschner_ @handicap_54 Of course, there’s nothing quite like the victories at Myrtle Beach, John Deere, Corales, and the CJ Cup—I still got emotional just thinking about last year’s wins…
English

I don’t mean to be rude but this has to be one of the least meaningful wins in the history of golf

Just in case you were wondering who the end users of $SIVE likely were:
Sivers lasers -> $AMZN (Marvell's 8-K SEC filings).
Amazon has purchase agreements for "photonic fabric" from Celestial, which maps to Sivers lasers through two-hop connections.
Marvell's share value under the agreement was $87/share, so Amazon is very incentivized to buy as much as they can (Marvell is trading at $139+).
These volume orders help $SIVE the most out of this supply chain, given their size.
This is just one-relation to Amazon, I wanted to point out.
But at $720m MC...
Markets missed Sivers as the critical laser supplier for the upcoming hyperscaler optical supercycle based on new architectural changes.

@danicamclellan @CentralStnHQ @Kaizenkj1 @NUCLRGOLF If it was fixed after 10 minutes… it wasn't ruined; it would have been ruined if all the players had had to play from the tee like that. If there’s a divot on the tee of a par 5, you can still tee off; if the ball lands in the rough hole, let’s see what happend
English

@dhdzc_ @CentralStnHQ @Kaizenkj1 @NUCLRGOLF If they had to fix it, it was ruined.
But yes, Scottie also shouldn’t smash his club. The fact that you think hitting a club into the rough is worse than a tee box tells me you’re not actually a golfer though.
English

🚨😤🏌️ #SPOILED — Max Homa was asked about the code of conduct policy at The Masters and what a violation of that policy would be in his eyes. Max appeared to use Sergio Garcia’s outburst at Augusta as an example: “I don't like when people beat up the golf course because we deal with it, and I think breaking clubs makes us look very, very spoiled.”

@danicamclellan @CentralStnHQ @Kaizenkj1 @NUCLRGOLF So if they’ve fixed the grass… it’s not ruined, right? Ruined would be when Scottie smashed his club into the rough at the RBC last year… right? Because you can’t fix that…
English

@kmayer1982 @Kaizenkj1 @NUCLRGOLF Scottie last year at RBC and detroit, Rory US Open and others, Max Homa multiple times, Billy, Bob, Novak, Si Woo Kim, etc, etc.

@JohnnyGolf45 @Philsburgh2 Latin America has a population of over 440 million. I think it would be great for the PGA Tour to have a Latin American star, which would attract more visitors and the thousands of Latinos in Miami who would support Joaco.
English

@Philsburgh2 I’d be seriously surprised if Niemann has more than 100 fans (not including friends/family) living in regions where u can attend events/watch on non-pirated networks that tune in solely based on whether niemann plays or not
English

@thefantasygrind It's amazing what marketing departments can do to people. There are thousands of people fighting tooth and nail for a Tour they don't even profit from, as if they owned it… it's so sad. I just want to watch golf 24 hours a day—I don't care where.

Liv legacy:
- Destroyed Matthew Wolff's career (what was left)
- Forced Mito Periera to retire
- Ruined Cameron Smith
- Sold us Joaquin Nieman > Scottie Scheffler
- Sold us Talor Gooch > everyone
- Cost us three years of peak Rahm
- Turned Phil into a villain
- Turned Sergio into a bigger villain
- Made Patrick Reed a hero?🤔

🚨😳❌ #DEVELOPING — In an X Space last night, well connected Ryan French (@acaseofthegolf1) said that the LIV Golf League is set to shut down, with the possibility that this week’s event may not be played or could be the last.
English

@InnocenceCapit1 I guess it's just a matter of taste, but I think all of Malbon's clothes are awful. I much prefer Greyson's uniform from Torque.
English

@dhdzc_ Malbon is a million times better than those horrible liv uniforms. Some of the stuff day wears actually looks great.
I don’t even know what manors is other than Danny crapaport wears it, so I’m a hard pass
English

@Mitch57005818 @ANTi_LIV Yes, you could require the 10–20 top-performing LIV players to play there in exchange for PGA Tour status, but would the PGA Tour want Carlos Ortiz? Who would fill out the field? If you take 20 from the LIV and 40 from the PGA Tour, who would make up the other 100 players?

‼️ LIV Golf ending & Player Paths
LIV will finish this season and will cease operations next year. - there is talk, it might not even finish this season.
There is a massive NEGATIVE- ROI for LIV Golf. No VC, investment group, etc, would have ever tolerated this massive money loss and the product getting worse.
PGAT had a heads up that LIV was likely ending. They provided a ONE TIME path back and Brooks took it. The others didn’t.
From sources —- sounds like DP World will accept some LIV Players those who have paid fines. Others will go to the Asian Tour or other tours.
Rahm will need to pay his fine to play in DP World Tour. PGAT doesn’t need him and really isn’t welcomed back at this point. This will be a tough pill to swallow for Rahm.
Bryson is the only player the PGAT wants back. He very well might be a YouTube, DP World Tour player and Majors next year. His path back to the PGAT is murky via the concessions as Brooks already set the precedence.
The other rumor is the negative view PIF and the Saudis have felt over LIV Golf. It was unexpected and under estimated. The ANTi-LIV visceral reactions from a massive fan base had a considerable impact on their decision.
Expect to see PIF be a sponsor at PGA events in the future. Similar to the LPGA and DP World Tour.
DP World or PGAT will hold an event in Adelaide
More to come as I hear more ….
English

@Mitch57005818 @ANTi_LIV All those people went there to see Bryson, Rahm, Cameron, and other big names. If those players aren't making $40 million a year anymore and no one on the PGA Tour wants to go to Adelaide, who's going to go? Michael Kim and Luke Clanton?
