Dreamers became DACA kids and then DACA parents and now some are even DACA grandparents. All the while still in limbo, on edge with every decision like this.

@brittny_mejia I am sitting here in my office in LA just gutted. This family has been through hell. And now mom & daughter are standing in shock in front of an immigration building in NYC after what they thought was just a routine appt, but instead was an appt to rip their family apart again.

ICE paroled our client in June in order to reunify him w/ his family. He has gone to every single ICE check-in since. This morning he went to routine check-in & ICE detained him & are now processing him for removal. (Pic of wife & kid in LA when separated from him first time).

Sometimes, we are able to pull off miracles. I am so relieved this is one of those cases. Despite starting yesterday w/ a hearing affirming his deportation, our @immdef team was able, thru extraordinary efforts, to get ICE to release him so he can seek asylum w/ his family.
