We have some exciting news to share: @blacktop__ is joining Calif to work on a range of R&D projects focused on Apple and AI security. If you work in the Apple security ecosystem, he’s already a household name. He’s the creator of: * ipsw – the ubiquitous Apple firmware analysis tool: github.com/blacktop/ipsw * darwin-xnu-build – reproducible XNU kernel builds: github.com/blacktop/darwi… * ipsw-diffs – automated diffing of Apple releases: github.com/blacktop/ipsw-… * The only public deep-dive on Apple’s Lockdown Mode: github.com/blacktop/prese… His tooling is so good that even Apple engineers use it. If you do reverse engineering, chances are you’ve touched his Rust headless IDA MCP server: github.com/blacktop/ida-m…. People have literally collected CVEs and bug bounties just by digging through the diffs produced by his tools. With @brucedang, @Little_34306 and now @blacktop__, we're building a serious Apple security force at Calif. We’ll have more announcements in this space soon! A little story :) @malwrhunterteam shared an iOS app that is detected as SparkKitty. (a lot of these recently) What was most interesting is the signature looked like a bank???

I’m thrilled to announce that I will be joining @CellebriteLabs next month, kickstarting my career as a full-time iOS researcher. I hope to wrap up some final projects and release them in the coming weeks, but most of my public work will stop after this - it’s been a blast! 🚀💯

Partially fixed now. macOS 26 PB1 was pulled and 15.6 RC is now on the Sequoia beta channels, but it's still labelled as beta 4.

Today is not going well for Apple's software update team. - Today's RCs labelled as beta 4 in Software Update but as RC everywhere else - macOS 15.6 RC not published on Sequoia beta channels, meaning no 15.6 RC on macOS 14 and 15 (macOS 12 and 13 use a different mechanism)
