@Apayauq1 We already know that a lot of elite athletes are genetically abnormal. Their heights, wingspans, ect. Why is it not also expected that some will also have genetic abnormalities. Especially given that intersex people are relatively common in the grand scheme of things

sport sex testing was ended bcz cis women do not like finding out their chromosomes aren't what they expected, and if the swab says your chromosomes aren't "normal" you will have to have your genitals inspected. how many daughter's genitals will you inspect to exclude trans women

As long as she is informed about the risk it is her decision to decide what to do with her body. Most methods of self expression are unnecessary, but we should respect peoples bodily autonomy.

An author going the AI cover route tells me they don't respect other artists enough to pay then for their work and that they don't mind piracy and plagiarism since stealing from other artists learlt isn't a problem.

I think that's a weird assumption to make. Writing and art/design are not the same skillset. That's why in trad publishing they have a team of designers/marketers who know exactly what they're doing. If an author can't afford to pay an artists, ai might be a decision they made to give their book a nice looking cover. I am both a designer and a writer, but I know that this is not the norm for most writers.

@Syla_Fox @MsWOCReader If you see an album cover in a store or on Spotify you don't necessarily have the ability to talk to the author. Making an assumption (whether true or not) helps people decide what they want to spend their time and/or money on in the sea of infinite content.

Idk. Just a thought. More than happy to have a civil conversation with you and answer any questions that might have arisen from reading my comment. a woman tested positive for the BRCA gene and opted to get a double mastectomy without a cancer diagnosis. Then opted for IVF and only transferred embryos that did not have the BCRA gene. Essentially stopping any of her descendants from passing the gene. Women having choices and access to healthcare is vital. 🩷
