I worked at British Gas. I'm now Octopus' CMO (from early days). BG want us banned from taking new customers, yet we meet Ofgem financial rules, saved taxpayers £bns rescuing Bulb & built huge value. Grateful for our customers. BG should look after theirs, not throw rocks at us

@dibb_simkin @OctopusEnergy @g__j Has Octopus jumped the shark? Is it using all AI to respond to messages? Customer service used to be good but now it’s incomprehensible - replies don’t address the issue.

I had a baby just before lockdown. Shops near me out of nappies. @g__j tramped London (whilst on the phone running his business) to find & post some. @OctopusEnergy has revolutionised energy & cares about people - my boss leads from the v front. Huge congrats on your CBE boss 😍

A customer X'd me about unexpectedly high bills. As I was digging into it 3 directors joined me to work out not only what happened but how to improve the interface for customers & team to help in these situations Stuff like this enables us to be @WhichUK Recommended 7 yrs running

@dibb_simkin Hi Rebecca. One of my firm's clients is Shetland Islands Council. Shetland is a place where on average people's energy bills are double those in the rest of the UK. The council would love to create something similar to Octopus' Fan Club tariff and would like 1/2

@dibb_simkin I've just read online that you've mention Octopus are now accepting FlexiOrb certificates for SEG, on the sign-up page it still says MCS though? Any idea how I sign up?

In 2017 we hosted @OctopusEnergy planting trees with @RachaelMaskell, not knowing we'd become a customer one day. Now we get 100% renewable energy from them and just had a smart meter installed so we can better monitor (and reduce) our consumption. #ActOnClimate @yorkpress
