One founder who has been very kind to me since first meeting in 2020 is the godfather himself of low-slippage, low-fee swaps for stablecoins on @CurveFinance, @newmichwill.
Excited to share our next @edge_pod covering the newly launched sister protocol, @yieldbasis--stay tuned!

@zachxbt @Cointelegraph Gazillions of shitty tokens everywhere and now on the way to gazillions of stables. Joy.

Anyone else have stablecoin ticker fatigue?
Imagine you receive USDPT to your Solana address but realize your wallet doesn’t have USDPT on default token list. You also need gas so you bridge ETH from Ethereum and wait several minutes and want to swap USDPT for USD on CEX but your preferred CEX doesn’t support USDPT so you swap on chain for USDT but realize the CEX conversion for USDT to USD is not 1:1 on Solana and wire transfer takes days so you bridge to Tron and realize you don’t have TRX so you bridge gas from SOL but realize the bridge has a minimum so you bridge more ETH. Your MetaMask wallet doesn’t yet support Tron so you download a second wallet. Now you realize USDT support on Coinbase ended so you take a chance and finally transfer to MEXC where they lock your account for suspicious activity for several weeks.

SNEAK PEEK AND PREP FOR THE MEGA AUCTION
in the spirit of informative week, let me walk you through the auction mechanism of the @megaeth public sale [thread]

English

Worst part about this strategy on @defiapp is it doesn't earn trading fees like LPing does.
No trades for 3 days.
But at least they are ibTokens.

would have snagged that wick if i was around at that time. but i wasn't so i will just wait longer on @defiapp to consider more trades.
English

@megaeth Why? Rationale would make this more interesting. Presumably you have enough cash for a healthy runway and see a better return by using surplus to buy back?
English

reach out to john if you want your @sqaure biz to accept bitcoins.
zero fees.

code is law movie review
i was given an opportunity to watch an advance copy of "code is law". im a minor participant in the events depicted, not even a footnote, so it was thrilling to see these stories told from the first-person perspective.
the movie focuses on the dao launch, exploit, and white-hat rescue (but not the eth/etc civil war that followed), as well as the indexed finance hack, a rare case where the attacker was caught in 4k. it's an exploration of crypto's moral gray zone and improvised justice people try to achieve.
the story is mostly told in first person by griff green, christoph jentzsch, lefteris karapetsas (the dao); lawrence day, dylan keller (indexed finance); ogle, daniel luca (recovery expert and auditor). the antagonists are andean medjedovic (indexed and kyber hacker, still on the loose) and avraham eisenberg (mango hacker who tried arguing "code is law" in court).
the movie is quite emotional, and the characters' reactions to the same events range from optimism (griff) to dread (chrisoph) to multi-day coding sprints (lefteris) to save funds. it outlines how andean was tracked down in great detail, from a late-night realization to connecting the dots. even without actual war-room transcripts, the recollections ring true.
it's honest about how people try to make their own justice in the uncharted territory of crypto, starting public negotiations and doing the work police often can't or won't do.
overall, a great watch. @CodeIsLawFilm releases on october 25, 2025.

Why fxUSD and other decentralized stablecoins matter for Ethereum’s security future.
Ethereum now secures more than $110B in centralized stablecoins, already approaching the size of its own security budget. This creates a dangerous asymmetry.
$fxUSD is designed to break this dependency. As a decentralized, crypto-native stablecoin, it is censorship-resistant, ETH-aligned, and directly reinforces Ethereum’s security. Its growth strengthens the economic loop that protects Ethereum, ensuring the network’s credibility and resilience scale with the value it secures.
Decentralized stablecoins are the path forward for Ethereum to remain neutral, resilient, and secure — not borrowed trust.
